I can't really tell if I should put this here, but I've always had the Mumble HUD on in-game until a few months ago when it crashed and I wasn't able to see it anymore (or launch the game when mumble was running for some weird reason.). I uninstalled mumble and re installed it again, but it didn't work either.

So I waited for 1.0, uninstalled everything (including mumble) today and installed the beta.

Now I still can't see the Mumble HUD in-game. Nor can I find any fixes or menu in PR mumble to opt the option off or on.


Edit: I'm an idiot. Because of the BF2 font I didn't notice it at all. Sorry for the confusion!

It should be completely integrated.
The overlay is using the ingame HUD are you sure it's not working?
Have you been on a 1.0 server talking to people?

Is it just me or does autodeploy not work with the 100p servers?

Autodeploy doesn't work for me, and servers are running really laggy right now :(
Two more servers (1EU/1US) would be great

Yeah it doesnt matter what number you type, if i say Join at 70 players it tries to join a 99/100 server

Keep getting 1301 error during login from time to time
Might be due to server overload at the moment, still reported

Is the blur effects on the teaser was from the game, or something else?

Just played on the US server from GB. Everything good gameplay wise, I'm dead impressed! The usual bugbears though.

Laggy servers - I understand that the whole point of the release was to stress test certain aspects of the game, most prominently the 100 player code. So far, the 8 man squads work fine, no issues there. The problem is when the number of players in the server hits 84/85, everyone lags like hell, with crashes every so often. Around 80 or so, everything was dandy.

Mumble - Apparently, people were having issues getting it to connect. I didn't have any myself, and the only thing I could see that had issues was the overlay. I see the speaker icon in the bottom right when i talk on local and squad, but i don't see any names when people are talking anywhere in either local or squad.

Autodeploy - Tried to use this function with values at 98 and 97 with what i'm assuming are 2 reserved slots (making 98 available for pubbies). It still tries to deploy with 99 in server.

Name tags - There are still some players whose name tags do not appear above their heads. The majority do, but not all.

Black Gold AAS - I deployed on the russian side on this layer so i'm only reporting what others put in global chat. When the chinese team spawned in, they had no character models, no 3rd person weapon models (so everyone was completely invisible), and they spawned in with M4s. Unless this is the new chinese combat uniform, sounds a little iffy to me. :D

Other than those, the actual game play is immense! The sounds are amazing, the visuals are brilliant, the overall level of immersion is beyond anything i've ever experienced on a game. The 1.0 release will be like christmas on steroids!

ROBSEDIT: As of 1.0.18, the issue with mumble has been sorted. Overlay now works.

US server with new version is very laggy and it crashed 2 times in 1 hour.

Now the US server is down and there are no servers for the uptaded version.

The game itself was playing very smooth for the 5 minutes i got on for. But the server dropped out and the only ones left are EU.

Auto deploy definitely broken though. It just tries to join every time.

I haven't been able to play more than 15 minutes at a time due to server crashes, lag. No way to evaluate anything until things settle down. auto deploy doesn't seem to work either. Reserved 2 slots?? I"ll try later this week. Frustrating to say the least

Tactical Gamer was an Excellent Server. Yeah that's right, I said that, go a head and BAN ME from your server now!

Yeah it seems they underestimated how many people would be trying to get on the servers.

The only 2 that are up are EU and they are both permanently full.

US server was there 15 mins ago but it wont come back up. And that one was also full before the crash so its really frustrating spamming join because the auto deploy seems to be on the fritz.

=>Couldn't test it to its full use but I would say the position and color theme are good BUT, the indicator that we're talking could be different for local/Sq. Even thou I now all my assign keys I still would like a confirmation icon telling me witch channel I'm talking.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

When I tried to join a server it kept replaying the main menu music over and over with a black screen.

DEVS My PR when I load it , after 60-70 sec of black screen appear the intro video after same timeblackscreen and than the us soldier menu. If I clik on a server (when avainlible) it just writes "Joining server" and remain the same , if i not clik on it and do not clik 50 times to start load.
It immense frustrating...I tried once the game and btw it was VERY laggy its epic , the deviatio... :)

Servers down. Still. Mumble was not working for everyone when the server was up.

Medic, Voice over, Menu Music

I personally think that the medic's should have more than 6 patches. The old 12 patches where very good... but maybe 9 patches could be a middle ground. I never figured out completely how the medic bag was changed though but it seemed like it was faster to heal someone??? I thought the idea was to make it slower so I'm a bit confused on that one.

Anders sound FX are really great.... only ones that sound unnatural to me is the truck horn.
The "american" voice over which I believe is Anders himself makes me laugh a bit.. (no offence) and the swearing seems misplaced a lot of the times.... like if you want to exit a chopper and hit bail out "get the fok out" :mrgreen: .
It's not because I'm a saint or anything but even for the military you don't spend half of your words swearing.... you communicate as clear as possible.... but of-course it would be natural to start swearing when the adrenalin starts pumping in a firefight..... but most of the time your not in a firefight in PR.

Alsp I have to comment Scott Tobin's main menu music.... It's prob his best he made so far but now i know that he is a big fan of Hans Zimmer and The Dark Knight theme :D In-fact it sounds like he ripped a piece right off it :o
I like most of Scott Tobin's work because it is very original... but this one just went overboard a bit :) I suppose we can call it a Homage to Hans Zimmer :)
