Open Beta

Post by Cpt_Tuna »

Hey everyone, was really excited to install the new beta tonight and now that its all installed i have a slight problem. When i select "Play" and login with my account I get an Error Reading: "1007: Error reading from server. (10057)" I have uninstalled and reinstalled and created a new account but its still the same thing. If anyone has any clue as to what it is that would be awesome!
Thanks a bunch!

I am getting the same issue, i have reinstalled PR Beta 1.0 but still no luck.
Also on XP. I can run the game using a singleplayer profile so it's not an installation issue, must be to do with connecting to the BF2 profile servers for my main account. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem.
At the same time I have installed v0.98 which works well.
In separate folders.
Battlefield 2 \ mods \ pr
Battlefield 2 \ mods \ pr_beta

Reinstall PRbeta and creating a new account will not help.
I have windows XP

thanks in advance for your help and greetings to the realists.

Same here. Everything worked fine before BETA. I can play 0.98 but not BETA. Strange. :(

Further details can be found in the following file:

Please report this error to the Project Reality Team, and include the log file in your report.

Hey everyone, I just updated the game today and i got into the main menu now, but when i go into online and look for servers there are non there. After some time refreshing the page i see the EU server #2 with extremely high ping but no North American servers.

PS- I had to try and download the update 3 times

aawwwhhhh. i decided to reinstall the beta just to see what happens then and so i deleted the whole pr1.0beta folder in the mod folder and guess what happened......now the installer still thinks there is an installed beta on my computer and it won't let me reinstall the game. if i run the .iso image the only thing i can select is "play" and i can't find the path in the registry or the folder i have to delete to make that installer install the game. omg^^

Hey,

ok after running the setup.exe instead of autorunning the .iso file i could reinstall the beta und succesfully updating the game to 1.0.19. The Game is still ctding after the very first intro clip. I can see a little pop-up window shortly after the crash with the message "Cleaning Bf2 resources".

Im guessing this is a Windows XP error as I am getting the same issue (also on XP) - all was fine in 0.98. Will try doing that right click play and update and report back.

EDIT: Looks like it's been fixed with the latest update changelog
- Fixed issue with Windows XP users not able to login

Thanks DEVS !
