I am also having this problem. I even uninstalled both PR and BF2 and reinstalled them in hopes that it would work, however I have no such luck.

Someone on IRC channel who had the same error and also had an USB headset (I'm guessing you have an USB headset). He unplugged his headset before/during the startup. And that made it work. Try that, I should say .

I got it solved, and one of my friends had this and solved it the same way like I did so I guess this should work for everyone.

Restart your computer and then launch the launcher as administrator
