I know me and a few friends were having FPS lag. Other maps played fine. Dont remember what map or layer but i think its just because the amount of trees and stuff.

Def some lag on this layer, but only briefly. With about 35-40 players on.

I think Saaremaa does not work properly with graphics settings. The game looks way better than it's supposed to (I'm on minimum settings and the game looks like I'm playing on max or something), it's fine on carrier, but once you get into the island of the map itself my fps drops to ~1-15 FPS.

Skirmish and Standard layers seem really good. Not getting any of the FPS issues reported. Visually, the ground texture seems to be slightly too bright in comparison with the trees. Terrain is great as is the density of trees. Great gameplay.

Definitely something about the trees that causes a FPS loss.

Just got to try Saaremaa on a 100p server, and I have to say, the woods are a gamebreaker for me. Probably not for those with a hardcore rig but damn, I was getting these 15-20sec freezes with like 5 secs in between them. It was impossible to do anything, but it was completely normal and OK when I drove in a truck on a road with squadmates. Later on I CTD'd because of the lag it caused. I hope it's only a Saaremaa problem, because if I'll experience the same thing on other servers... yikes.

The 64p unofficial servers have worked fine, Saaremaa too.

Game play on this map is phenomenal. I don't have a super comp, but it's adequate. I got lag on the first night but not really since. Also have not gotten to play on 100p server again yet.

I have respect for map designers and other modders but this map is just boring. Just an island with a few trees on it... Project Reality need more maps like Operation Marlin, Muttrah or Kashan. Remove this map pls!

Sry for the designer, I know, its not easy to create a map.

Saaremaa and Ramiel have FPS issues with 100p, even on a solid rig.

How about a jeep or two for this map? Don't give all squads a transport but having one or two as something of a critical asset to be taken advantage of and use carefully.

I disagree, I think Saaremaa is quite fun as infantry working with APCs and air support and don't like Kashan.

how did you manage to say Op. Marlin and kashan in the same sentence . :? :
IMO Saaremaa is a great map, defiantly one of my favorites since I played it a long time ago in an event.

I just took a few examples. Kashan, Marlin or Muttrah - they are more then a island with a few trees on it. This is my opinion.... you don't need to comment that. This thread is about feedback.

Discuss out.

This map seems to be constantly disbalanced regarding to the ratio of forces, Russians being always in minority. E.g. right now there are 42 Americans against 22 Russians.

I don't know if this is the place to discuss the new small supply create mechanics, but I flew trans for about an hour last night and shuttled quite a few people and supplies. I just think that a supply create half the size of a full one should take half the time to reload.

I really enjoyed flying nap of the earth through the trees, using roads and such to navigate. Fun as heli!

Overall i think it's a nice map, but i think there's something wrong with these little puddles.
