PR 1.0 Beta Coop
I understand why it was left out for the beta but I really wanted to play coop on 1.0!

I am trying to get SP medikits to work, I noticed there is medikit_sp in the beta files.
I have edited all medic kits to use medikit_sp instead of medikit and then changed the itemindex of medikit_sp to 4 so that it is in the exact same slot as the mp medikit it is replacing. Which in my mind should work fine but dedi server crashes at 15/16% if I do this.
Anyone got any ideas?

Setting up a dedicated server running coop and playing with friends when coop wasn`t included in the beta was fun and I learnt new things along the way.

Hello Spyker, make sure that every weapons/items don't share the same ItemIndex. Also, bots seems to dislike having their special items in the wrong places, they should be in the same slot as in BF2 vanilla e.g. Medicbag/Ammokit = 5... I'll do some testing on my own, if I can replicate this...

But I guess you already know that by now
I'll do some testing on my own, if I can replicate this...
Afaik these are guidelines, not obeying these rules won't cause the game to crash, only for bots to not use the medikit and spin around in circles respectively.Fastjack wrote:Dont use for bots any bandages or whatever with itemindex 9!

The smoke grenades of the gb_medic_sp kit are on itemindex 4. That's the reason why your server crashed at 14%.
Give the epipen itemindex 6 ,Medikit get the itemindex of 5 and field dressings a itemindex of 8.

I am using the kits from the 1.0 beta MP in the video and now so there are no _sp kits. I have removed all weapon itemindex edits I did and have ONLY edited the medic kits now. I have replaced medikit with medikit_sp (so it is itemindex 5) and replaced smoke grenades with their _idx4 versions.

Ok, i haven't installed the beta but i think they dont changed everything.
If i look in the tweaks of the last PR version 0.98, the epipen have a itemindex of 5 and your medikit_sp have the same itemindex. But maybe i'm wrong so what itemindex have your medikit and your epipen atm. ?

Ok that is solved. That have nothing todo with moron. That's BF modding. Mistakes happens.
But i have doubts about your field dressings. They have idx9 and i had only problems with dressings on idx9.
Not any problems at maploading but i got crashes after playing a while.
So keep that in mind if you getting later some ingame crashes.
Maybe that help you later.
But keep on working with your nice coop stuff.

Indeed, while they don't crash instantly, bots that somehow select field dressings index 9 will freeze on place or run in circle until they crash the server. I just plain delete dressings from regular kit and keep them in limited/special kits, avoid lots of troubles. Well, until they revived themselves with a limited kit lying around...But i have doubts about your field dressings. They have idx9 and i had only problems with dressings on idx9.

EDIT: nvm, index 8 worked just fine, been a while since I played/modded co-op...
