As someone who has been with PR since the early days of 0.3, I can't even begin to say how impressed I am with how much the team has accomplished. It feels like a crime to simply call Project Reality as a mod now. PR has completely evolved from BF2 into it's own incredible experience that creates teamwork like no other game I've played and has lead to many of my best gaming experiences.
So thank you Devs, Mods, Testers, and everyone else who helped create this game.
It's come a long way

I second this, although I did not start so early. But none the less, awesome work.

Re: It's come a long way
I simply DONT play any other FPS game today... just PR
and its been like this for years
of all the things I try to play... I immediately start comparing things (in my mind) with PR... and saying: oh this game sucks... and I dont play that game anymore, never again
I find the sound effects ridiculous, weapons damage unrealistic, map icons that dont make sense at all, HUD screen with way too much useless information, fast-paced-unrealistic-rambo-style kind of games, etc
The only thing that I dont compare are graphics... but how fair would it be with a 2005 (or so) engine?
And after all, good graphics dont make a good game... the PR team does and iam impressed
edit: I forgot to mention the PR soundtrack, which is simply kickass

I think PR is one of the few games to actually prove this and it's absolutely true___sangue-ruim___ wrote:after all, good graphics dont make a good game... the PR team does and iam impressed![]()

Totally, Id chose gameplay over graphics any day. PR has used a limited engine to make a game with gameplay rivaling and to be honest bettering most modern games and to add to that it is constantly improving, amazing work DEVs.

Re: It's come a long way
I would have to agree. I remember trying .2 and thinking it was blah. Then came back to try .3 and was hooked. Loved playing the old Muttrah City, and EJOD Desert. SpecOps with their laser M4. Driving the forklift trying to ram little birds as they landed at the docks. Being a squad leader for PLA in the PRT Campaign 5. Made a few good gaming friends through the years. Stopped playing for over a year 2 different times. But each time I've come back I'm amazed. And I am still hard pressed to find an FPS that brings me such joy and intensity as PR does. Keep up the good work.
p.s.
On a side note through the years playing this mod. Three different girlfriends have wished this mod would go away. But PR is still here and awesome.
