We know when mumble is down, you don't need to notify us. Not during the beta.

Erhm... i don't know how to tell you all, but MUMBLE IS STILL DOWN. Let's face it. One single common mumble server it's a disaster. Crashes, downtime and high ping(for european part) ruined all the benefits of it. We better get back to old style of mumble, when each server got to run it's own MurMur...

I'm sure you're talking about the 0.98 Mumble. Yes, this one is down as the resource demand for only 1 half-filled server is too much while we need as much as possible for the 1.0 Open Beta infrastructure.
Maybe you havn't realized yet, but we released the 1.0 Open Beta last weekend which runs on his own mumble server. And yes, they are decentralized, two 100p servers of the open beta share the same mumble server, so in total we have 4 different ones.

So... We're not able to play 0.98, and all beta servers are full... Is there any way to manage this situation?

You can play 0.98, you just wont have mumble. And as of this post there are no beta servers that are full. There can 100 players. The 3 populated beta servers have 95, 82, and 8 players each.RarWinZip wrote:So... We're not able to play 0.98, and all beta servers are full... Is there any way to manage this situation?

Guys, what kind of resources do you need I am sitting on a 100mbit fibre connection and can allocate server resources where needed, for beta's or testing the normal production PR environment shouldn't suffer.

Re: Mumble is down
Is it just me or did a message/post just disappear? Some guy from NL was offering a 100MBps connection to host a mumble server while all this testing is going on, now the post is gone. Strange.
While I am here I might aswell say a few things. First of all, thank you to the DEV/s for working so hard for us all for free. You are all great people, everyone who is having problems (such as myself) may complain about mumble going down and the entire server list being empty with only 2 Russian servers online with 500 ping...but, they are only complaining because we are all addicted to PR. Cold Turkey would be the description to use.
I play all the time on =HOG=, I have noticed that the last few nights of playing, everyone gets disconnected from the game. Its starts off with a batch of people (from certain nodes on the net) disconnecting, or dying all at once. The strange thing is, I have been the only one that was not affected, two days ago it happened again and thankfully I had company from a user called gforce. How can an entire server of 64 people disconnect and I be the only one (time and time again) that doesn't get disconnected? My PC is really old and my broadband downloads files at a max of 1.2MBps. I have all my settings at LOW, could it be a possible issue with HIGH GFX settings that disconnects the majority of people as I am never affected using LOW settings.
A small question regarding mumble: I heard mumble is going to be integrated into the v1.0 release, so we don't have to load PR Mumble anymore as its all within the same program [EXE/ISO]?
Cheers

EDIT: The guy must have removed his post and posted it again (as seen below lol)
EDIT2: Wow, fresh posts are first on page 1, strange layout...shows you how often I use these forums lol.
