Speakers & Headphones

Post by Hell »

Hello all,

I have a small technical issue with my speakers and headphones.

I don't know why but when I plug my speakers in my laptop, the mumble sound comes from the Speakers and PR 1.0 sound comes from the laptop.

Also, if I connect my headphones, the mumble sound comes from headphones but game sound from the laptop.

How do you configure the game so that the game sound comes from speakers and headphones (when plugged in) ?

Thanks.

You need to tell us what type of speakers and headphones.
I guess you have USB speakers?

Plug in the speakers or headphones you want to use before starting PRBeta and PRMumble
Start PRBeta with PRMumble
alt-tab to desktop
in taskbar, bottom right, you should see the PRMumble icon, it is the dark PR dogtags icon,
double click the icon to maximize PRMumble
In PRMumble menu bar, go to Configure->Settings

Image

On the bottom left of the Settings window, click the Advanced Tickbox
On the left column, select Audio Output

In Interface -Device, you need to select the correct device (your headphones or speakers),
Click Apply

Test.

If you picked the wrong one, pick another device , click apply, and test again.

B. Audio Output
a. Interface should be selected to your appropriate device. This could be called Headsets, Line Out, Speakers, or most usually ?Default Device?, Check it quickly.
b. Audio Output is trial by error dependent on your hardware, and speakers/headphones. The lower the buffer and Output Delay the better.

To fix PR game sounds coming out of correct plugged in speakers

PLUG IN YOUR SPEAKERS
here is a tutorial: http://www.7tutorials.com/how-change-de ... dio-device

For Windows Vista/7/8
Go To
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage audio devices

You need to select your plugged in speakers (or plugged in headphones) as your default audio output device.
