The sights at the end of the day are an approximation, as well as your range estimates. I figure that you just got unlucky with your first shot.

Sights are fine; I used it many times and it always hits if SL gets exact range.

you have to wait some time to shoot or be in some specific position?

Yep, the best position for you to be firing any kind of rocket launcher is from the crouching position, waiting at least 4-8 seconds for your deviation to settle then fire.

this applies if you're just moving the sight instead of the character?
