Quick question regarding BUIS
Would it be possible to Double Tap right click to go right away into the BUIS? The current system of using the comm-rose is too slow and too clunky. I really like the RMR on the British ACOG btw.

What? Pressing Q while simultaneously clicking right mouse button once is too slow and "clunky"? You don't even have to point mouse anywhere, just press Q and click mouse button.obpmgmua wrote:The current system of using the comm-rose is too slow and too clunky.

Yeah it is. Double tapping right click is more natural and would be faster. The same could apply to sniper scopes. Instead of cycling between zoom level double tapping right click should bring you to max zoom level. Right clicking again should zoom you out.saamohod wrote:What? AutoHotkey: go ahead and make your own script
I would rather have the Q selection, than it choosing the wrong scope even 5% of the time.

Backup sights. Basically, scoped weapons using iron sights for close quater combat. You can switch between iron sights and your scope.

I hope we will get an updated manual along with the released v1.0. I knew it, but simply because I've been following the news. Not everybody does.Heskey wrote:I never knew!

Middle of the common rose on weapons that have this ability.

I'm wondering why the devs didn't implement the camera key already in place with the BF2 engine. This camera key serves no function when your playing as infantry anyways.

I believe the "controls" section of the game is the least adjusted to the mod and comes from vanilla BF2 almost unchanged.007.SirBond wrote:I'm wondering why the devs didn't implement the camera key already in place with the BF2 engine. Would like to be able to switch to/from BUIS while looking down the sights rather than just while holding the gun at the hip, although I don't know if that's possible.

That is my biggest beef with the current system, although let me say that so far this is my favorite part of 1.0. I'm fairly certain we would need two new animations for every BUIS capable weapon; one for each of the eye adjustments to and from irons. Still, this system to my knowledge is absent from every other shooter out there today. I cannot thank whomever made this happen enough; I know it must have been a hell of alot of work.ShockUnitBlack wrote:Would like to be able to switch to/from BUIS while looking down the sights rather than just while holding the gun at the hip, although I don't know if that's possible.
