Have you tried closing the installer/patcher/launcher w.e., and then re-opening it (as administrator)? I had the error too and after doing the above it worked.
I think it's happening because the files are not 'valid' anymore because a new update had already been released after the one it's trying to validate.
(I installed 1.0.15.0 while 1.0.18.0 was already released)

Update: After running as Administrator, it successfully updated to v1.0.18.0

Got the same error. Restarted the program and it went through and sensed the already downloaded files and said it updated successfully.

error appeared when trying to update to v1.0.18.0 and to v1.0.19.0 ...since I ran the Launcher today for the first time, it did all the updates at once. Therefore causing this bug 3 times. After 3 restarts of the programm it finally went through all the updates.

same error has occured to me and running as admin hasnt solved it. tried running it multiple times despite the errors and it finally worked, Successfully updated to v1.0.24.0

A fix for this (had the same issue):

- go to %appdata% jump back one directory. Then go to local/Project Reality and click through you see two different folders. Go into UpdaterLog and search through the logs to find the patch that fails to update.

Just take a look at the log that is cut off and does not say something like "Completed At: 04.07.2013 17:03:23".

Now jump back another directory and go into the download folder and apply the patch that made trouble manually by simply double clicking.

No. All you need to do is just re-run the launcher 2-3 times, the launcher will fix it for you.

Thank you, had the same error and after restarting it as an admin, it worked fine.
