Win XP PR 1.0 Error 11007 upon launching the beta

Hi,
Every time I try to launch the game I get this Error message "1007: error reading from server. (10057)". I am playing the beta on XP.
Anyone know what is the cause for this problem and how can I fix it?

press the little arrow next to the 'play' button, and then let it check for updates. There should be a fix in 1.0.17 if I'm not mistaken.

I tried it but I get this error message: "1222: Unable to find any download sources for update."
What do I do now?

I'm having the same problem the error message reads (after failing to update during the 1.0.19.0 update)

76: Update failed. Error validating file integrity after update.

C:\ Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\ mods\pr_beta\bin\PRLauncher.exe

My computer is also an XP an SP3.
However the updates are progressing (after I re-open the beta) so I'm not sure what is going on
