My problem with PR right now

First of all let me say that I love the game. It is a one of a kind experience created by an awesome mod and at least as importantly by an awesome community. When I first started trying it, I feared people would just call me a noob and I'd never get a chance of getting into it because I joined rather late, shortly before or after (can't remember) 0.98. But instead, the first squad I joined welcomed me with open arms and just like that explained everything I needed to know to work with them as a mortar squad. It was an awesome round on Kokan.

But there was always something bugging me and it has become a real problem with 1.0. It's the influx of more players or the addition of the ARF on Ramiel or both, I don't know. But, while there were always some poeple who thought they'd be funny, now there are so many racist remarks, "jokes" and squad names, it's just not tolerable anymore.

I really hope we can fix this, because if it stays the same, PR will at least lose me as a player and I hope I am not the only one who is really pissed about this. Please do something, and by that I mean everybody. Admins, kick and ban those idiots. Players, just tell them, they're not being funny, they're being jerks. Squad leaders, kick them from your squads.

Let's give back that welcoming atmosphere to PR I was lucky enough to experience when I started playing.

No one whines when people yell "Allahu ackbar" but as soon as the N-word is said....

If it really bothers you, ask them to stop and focus on the game. Otherwise, you can't exactly say anything unless they're spamming it or something or it breaks server rules.
Hell, most if not all black guys I know don't care honestly, and its funny as hell when someone with a ghetto as hell accent comes in.

As Archo said, a big part of it are jokes, they aren't meant to be serious. If it is really getting out of hand, report to the admin or ask the guy who is doing it to stop. Don't run away from it since then the problem will never end.

I would be concerned about RL racism more in these days...especially in Europe...god help us all.

No, folks, the OP is right. Racism was out of hand in some instances, and steps will be taken against it. This will not be tolerated by the R-team, and we strongly encourage other server administrators to support us in this.
