Uninstalled PR v1.0 BETA... BF2 not working anymore...

i had something similliar, i just ran bf2 and loaded one map then quit and installed pr and it worked,

Did you install over your PR, or uninstall PR then reinstall it?

Is there a fix for this yet ? so when uninstalling the beta, it deletes some vanilla bf2 needed files correct ? and if so how.

Yeah, most likely the installer is uninstalling RendDX9.dll, I'll make sure to fix it for 1.0, but for now, you can either:

1. Not uninstall (I mean, it's PR, it should NEVER leave your machine )
2. Reinstall v1.0 Open BETA
3. Uninstall, and copy in RendDX9.dll to your root BF2 directory.

Same happened to me as well.
Quick fix was to install pr1.0 beta back.

Or could we not just backup the RendDX9.dll file from the bf2 directory before uninstalling pr1.0beta through control panel remove programs, then once uninstalled just copy the RendDX9.dll back again, would this work ?

Downloading the RendDX9.dll was a quick fix

RendDX9.dll was in my directory after the beta uninstall but i think it was damaged ,
I replaced it and Pr works .
3 seconds for fix .

Here's my question... will that same program simply update to 1.0 full release when it's ready? we should keep it right?

The PRLauncher/(or whatever Ancientman decides to call it) program will not update to 1.0 Full/Final/RC/(whatever Ancientman decides to call it), the PRLauncher program itself is still in Beta, and has been updated to the point you'll need to redownload PRlauncher to install 1.0 when 1.0 is released.

I had this problem, just removing 1.0 BETA and then reinstalling 0.973 and 0.981 worked.

I had the same problem, neither PR or BF2 would start. So I verified files in Steam and it downloaded all the missing ones. Can play BF2 with no problem now, but when I connect to a PR server, about half way through loading the game crashes. Any ideas?

This makes me not to want to uninstall the beta...I will probably keep it on.
