Quite honestly, i have never seen a game which implements "backup iron sights and optics".
Red Orchestra 2 (think the 1st did too), Infiltration for the first Unreal Tournament, more than a decade ago, did that too.

very kind :) I think A2/A3 also has BUIS, but in a game as old as ours it's pretty rare

Nah. RO1 didnt have it. Even a RO2 dev video mentioned how they discovered that slapping a scope on a rifle doesnt make the iron sights magically disappear.
