Just think to often people, are spamming mumble. People are talking bullsh*t, the 2.50*mins there is in start, instead of talking tactics. 2.50 should be enough, if you have game face on.
Commander says:
SQ1 you go for X flag
SQ2 you go and build FOB and support, SQ 1
SQ3 you prepare for next flag aso.
Or this could be done between the squads, without the commander.

All this could be over with and done in less then a minute.
Then each SL have 30sec-1min to say- guys we go over here(Movemarker), i need medic, AR, HAT aso. Most often people already have the kits selected when they join a Squad( AR,medic, rifleman, specialist aso). If limited kits is needed, he just says X and X grap X kit and X kit. Just cut the BS and we have ALOT of time, nearly to much xD
Why the f*ck cant the avatar edit be more easy, i will have my own godda*mit picture.Stupid

My opinion is the actual waiting time is enough.

Props Ernest, I also think a briefing period is necessary. The whole rush out of the gates as fast as possible feels to me counter-productive to the pr gameplay experience I enjoy.

Wasn't the briefing time for the beta release 5 minutes? That was plenty of time to take care of pre-game strategies. That's 2 more minutes then the .98 briefing time. If a team can't get their shit together in those 5 minutes then it's their fault, that's plenty of time.

And now, we wait.....

I think a key to a good briefing is to disable the local chat on Mumble and allow only squad-to-squad and squad chat.

I like the idea of having to stay in main as it would be like assembling for battle and you can physically organize kits and assets easier. Any issues you can resolve as you have some time to talk it out instead of dashing and hoping you get an asset such as a logistics truck.

I like the current waiting time. I'd only suggest you either implement a staying in main base effect and/or disabling local Mumble chat for the beginning... ESPECIALLY disabling local Mumble chat at the beginning.

Some people just overestimate public rounds, I've played with people as a SQLR and told people of a plan but they simply aren't on the same page as me, you have to babysit them and push them along for them to learn the game, that is PR on public. Some times you have 1-2 good players with you, but otherwise most of the time you have a blob tactic and a marker, and kick button..

Leave the planning for the 'planned' rounds or experienced players.

5-7 min squad briefing timer would be great. This way after all the squads would be formed, you'd still have time to assign kits and talk to other squads about game plans.

Often right now when squads are made at 1:30 people have settled down at 1 minute or 0:30 so you don't get much time to assign kits or talk plans if you have late joiners. I doubt the 5 min extra wait will be that horrible to those who don't care about briefing either since most people, like ernest said take a piss or grab a bite to eat after a long round.

5 minutes? 1-2 minutes extra wouldnt hurt but 5 minutes would make people bored out of there minds. me aswell.

Id say 2 extra minutes on the current timer and it should be enough time. remember that not all squads have super plans in the beginning. allot of squad leaders just assign kits to SMs and they are going to either the closest flag or 1 or 2 flags ahead. (or go and be useless somewhere on the map).

yeah, it will be to some point adjustable in the next version. so admins can decide which warmup time they wanna have.

A minute or two more on the round start timer would be welcome. But, local mumble should be off during that time, somehow. So its only intrasquad and SL/CO shannels. Otherwise people are gonna talk and spam...

since it will take longer to load into the map in 1.0 i think a longer briefing time should suffice.

Balancing a server with 100 players in it and bringing everyone to the right teams takes a lot of time especially with that stupid spam-blocking system before round-start.

Admins need more time.

Could use a briefing system similar to ARMA, where the commander + squad leaders can mark out certain things on a map for all to see. That way they could plan what squad could go where and for what purpose. Than again in a typical public match i'm not sure how well that would go over.

Does anyone else experience very long map-loading times? I've set everything on low but it's taking very long to load a map... I just wanted to know if someone else got this problem because if more players are affected then it could be a good idea to increase the briefing time/ squad creating time.
