Question about my PING.

Hey, is their any way for me to lower my PING in game? It's showing around 400-500 sadly and my FPS was showing 20. The way I fixed this problem in the past was in v.98 I would just mess around with the graphics setting on the menu like change the rendering and all that but, I can't find that option anymore assuming you guys removed it. Is their another way for to lower ping and/or FPS?

I also appear to be having ping problems... I played one round on TG that was a little laggy then the next round after that was unplayable. Strange...

your Ping is independent of your graphics settings, ensure you haven't got other programs on your comp trying to use bandwidth, perhaps try turning down mumble's quality a little bit

Ok thanks, I had steam and skype open I don't know if this was the cause of it but I hope it works. I think I just need a faster internet connection lol.

I know the pain dude, I used to live in a farming community with 1-2mb down if there weren't too many birds sitting on the telephone line.

Being on wireless, having internet applications open and firewall interference are the main impediments to good pings in my experience.

Make sure your torrent programme is switched off
Make sure your Anti Virus is turned off while gaming
Make sure your windows automatic updates are not running while gaming.
