launcher wont sync profile

got a blue-screen from sound card crashing and it corrupted the profile. which is pretty normal. I used to just delete it and retrieve it. but now that there is a middleman (launcher) It won't match up. What to do?

re-installing the mod was the only way to get it to sync my profile again.
