Where do you get that "System Information" list, like in the first post?

Only gripe is the performance issues, everything else is pretty fucking badass.
I made a thread about map load times here.

0.98 ran fine with most setting on medium/high.
Tried to change some setting, to improve FPS, but to no avail.

GPU is GT525M 1 GB.

0.98 and before ran pretty fine for me (sometimes small FPS lag spikes when in object-heavy areas) with 800x600, all low/off and 0% view distance, but now the difference in performance is noticeable, even so that it makes the game unplayable for me. Settings I'm using currently are the lowest you can get apart from the res, which is already pretty much the lowest you can use.

Major performance issues abound this version. 20-30 fps on nearly every map. Lowering settings no difference. CPU usage at 25% when game running. Should I expect this performance with my hardware? At least never had issues with .98 or any other games. I think this is probably the worst performance I have gotten ever with a game. What next? :?

I used to play with around 90FPS and wouldn`t drop under 60FPS even on the most demanding situtations while using the 0.98 version or previous. Now it seems that in most maps my FPS can go over 25.
(It`s a GTX660M the one i use to playv PR, even if the Display Information says otherwise).

I also have unplayable game now.. 40-50 fps, sometimes lower. Used to constant 100 in .98 (It also had some FPS drops on Ramiel, Fallujah, Kokan) :|

Most likely due to an engine limitation or the faulty PRLauncher with 99% usage, sir.

I fixed the fps problem here. I have formated my pc last week, so I instal ALL updates, updated de Direct-X, AND in support menu in laucher, in the last tab "Utilities" I performed the first action, "Clear Cache Shader".

Prevtzer wrote:I've manually set my video.con files to get as low settings as possible and I'm still getting 10-20 less FPS than in previous version plus the game looks really really bad, much worse than 0.98. Something obviously went terribly wrong with optimization.

Code: Select all

VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 1
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 1
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 0
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 0
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 2
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 1
VideoSettings.setResolution 1920x1080@60Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 2Samples
VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 1
VideoSettings.setVideoOptionScheme 3
Video.con is automatically rewritten by the launcher and some settings are always on medium, whatever you do.

That "fix" does not make sense, but glad it worked out for you, sir.

It worked for me. If I set the values differently the game would crash, but those values worked and the graphics were set lower.

I noticed how anti-aliasing 8x improves the graphic issues a lot. But your computer needs to be powerful enough to handle it.

I don't know who mentioned it, but seriously, and against all logic, by setting dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows on, the video performance issues I was having are GONE!

Everything else set to low, with the exception of view distance and texture quality.

I also noticed when dynamic Lighting and Shadow were turned off, I was still seeing shadows on some vehicles and some statics, which should not have been the case. This could very well be the issue.
