I may have to reinstall BF2 after trying to fix this on my own. Saarema and Dovre maps edit ->(with optimizing shaders message)
I have tried to load connecting to TG server. Game start slow, then agonizingly slow at 12% (objects). Couple times move up to 60-80% geometries then stalls above 80%.
Tried the PR loader - support - clear cache a few times.
Running Windows 8 as admin...
sad face.

edit: I got this error in the launcher after starting the game
"an unhandled exception has occurred. Details are as follows: Viewmodel is not referenced by any registered View. Further details can be found in the following file: C:\Program Files(x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.log"
Then next loaded fine. Results from one map on empty server load times
Hill 488 - 13 minutes (first load) / 12 1/2 minutes second load..
Going to just reinstall the whole shabang.. BF2 and mod. No patience and my weekend is short. You can close this.
-------------
update:
Hill 488 - 3 1/2 minutes (first run) / 3 1/2 minutes second run
That did the trick.. Thanks DDS, yeah sure np man!
