Sounds are overlapping each other

Post by Lovvi »

This happens when a gunship flies over. For exampmle, if havoc is shooting its cannon you can only hear the impact sounds, but you won't hear the havoc itself. Makes it rather difficult to find the damn thing.

I have sound on high, using EAX.

Sound engine problem. Has been in BF2 forever. Problem is PR 1.0 had obviously a great increase in sound quality and I think also in amount of sounds. I have not heard of a fix for it.

Too many sounds at the same time means that some of them gets muted.

What Mineral and Tarranauha said, there is a limit of sounds running at the same time by the engine, when the limit is reached, older sounds get muted.

[R-DEV]Spec:The suggestion is not accepted, I merely wanted to comment.

Shame doesn't work on me, Nor on men of my caliber.
