Farewell 1.0

Post by matty1053 »

I think it's time to throw the PC out the window... I mean leave for a while.

I have had a blast on PR, but since my pc can't handle it apperently, I decided to hang the headset, mouse and keyboard up for a while! :(

Honestly, some of the best moments I have seen in my life have been on PR. It's honestly the best game ever. (Yes I said GAME, cause it is a GAME.)

Devs, I love you all the time, I love you, I love you.
You guys... not even a game studio really... create a mod/game that is blowing everyones eye's out and killing poor brains from the sexy gameplay PR has to offer? Amazing in my standpoint.

Once I get a updated PC (Probably never hehehe) I will stay off of PR.

For those who can't run/having a hard time running 1.0, that is the reason why I am quiting!)

Thanks for the dam good memories. I will still be active on the forums though. :P

PS: I forced a darn load of people from our local IT college around my house to play PR.
(There is about 1000 people, and they might be hosting a server.... idk. But they are good players, they mature af! :)

Bye, bye PR. :(

or... you could also just wait for them to optimize the launcher?

Don't give up your hopes just yet, devs are bound to make more optimizations here and there. In the meantime, you can always find the bottleneck(s) to your system and make upgrades as needed.

I am also playing on a laptop and things are (barely) runable, but I feel your pain. I personally am going to try and tough through it until things (hopefully) get optimized better, don't give up hope too soon for our devs now ;)

I faced a similar problem. Just close all your programs like Skype, Teamspeak, your browser, steam and mainly FRAPS if you have one and it's open. Closing these applications should improve your Ping and/or FPS in game. If my **** laptop can handle this game, I'm pretty sure yours can too.

Know the feeling some of the new changes are very frustrating for us people who don't have good computers or can't upgrade our computers.

I'm only locking because we've had several threads about the performance drop of 1.0 already, and I'd like you to continue there.

I'm sorry to hear that PR does not work on some older PCs anymore. I don't know how far optimized this can be, but I'm sure the Devs will try their best. In the mean time, I can only advise you to try and upgrade your bottlenecks, mainly RAM and (single or primary) processor core.
