PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
Pr crashes right after the intro for me. I am running windows vista. I tried renaming the profiles folder and the projectreality folder to profilesbackup and projectrealitybackup and then I retrieved my account through its username and that didn't work. I tried running the pr launcher as an administrator and that didn't work. I tried running pr in a 1024x768 window, which also didn't work. I tried the solution in the "How to solve Startup problems with PR1.0 in 5 Steps" thread and that didn't work either. I never had any problems with launching pr prior to 1.0's release (Except during the beta, but I was able to solve that by renaming the folders in my documents ect). I was wondering if there were any other possible solutions I could try to get PR to launch without crashing. Thanks for any suggestions you provide in advance.

Re: PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
Unrelated to fixing your problem, It's time to update your GPU drivers man. Try the newest .49 WHQL drivers.
I. Don't. Know. What. To. Suggest.
Are you running any type of overlay programs? TS overlay, FRAPS, etc? Shut them all down.
This might be a situation where it is quicker to simply uninstall PR1.0 , reboot, reinstall, then NEVER import that problematic BF2 profile, simply retrieve login from gamespy when you first run PRLauncher.
I had used the thread you replied to in Beta about problematic profiles as a template for further responses. I am not sure what it is, but you got yourself a very uncommon something in your profile.

Re: PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
i had this problem - not sure what fixed it, but i ran all the utilities under the launcher / support / utilities, and made sure my nvidia drivers were returned to normal. In .9x i had been manually overriding bf2 with extra filtering and stuff via the control panel.

Re: PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
I tried reinstalling and never importing profiles but it still didn't work. I also tried running the utilities like Legato895 suggested but that didn't work either. I'm not overriding bf2 with anything special from the nvidia control panel, so that can't be it. Anyone have any other suggestions I could try?
Edit: I am also not running any type of overlay programs.

Re: PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
I'm not sure what to say,
try changing the PRBF2.exe compatibility to WinXP SP3, and NOT run as admin. apply. test.
try changing the PRBF2.exe compatibility to Vista SP2, and NOT run as admin. apply. test.
In PRLauncher Audio options, set it to -software -low , click apply. test.

I tried changing the compatibility of the PRBF2.exe and I set the audio settings to software low and it is still crashing after the intro.

Re: PR 1.0 crashes after the intro
I fixed it by adding this to my firewall exceptions:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\PRBF2.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\PRBF2.exe
