PR Mumble Crashes

Post by StatusRed »

Hi,

I installed PR 1.0 yesterday, from scratch including BF2 and I didn't have the BETA previously installed on my Windows 7 64-bit computer.

PR seems to run absolutely fine however PR mumble crashes. For example, on the launcher options, if I go to the PR Mumble tab and click "Launch" the wait cursor will appear for a few seconds, PR Mumble will open up and then about a second later I'm greeted with the message: "PR Mumble has stopped working..".

If I try to connect to a server which uses PR Mumble nothing happens and I have a disconnected icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Things I've tried:

Setting the PR.exe and PRMumble.exe files to run as an administrator, reinstalling / updating my sound drivers, reinstalling PR and PRMumble.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

We're talking about the Windows System Error message pop up window?
If you manually start PRMumble , does the same thing happen?

Some possible solutions:
Make sure PRmumble.exe gets through your firewall.
Check your antivirus and see if any mumble files are quarantined/deleted.

PRMumble.exe , right click, switch compatibility to winXP SP3 . apply. test.

PRMumble.exe , right click, switch compatibility to windows 7. apply. test.

I'm still new with the changes to PRMumble, not totally sure why these problems occur so randomly.

Hi,

Yes, it was a Windows system error and running in it WinXP or Windows 7 compatibility modes seems to have fixed it, so I've left it on Windows 7 compatibility mdoe.

Thanks. :)
