Someone should make a 3 minute mash-up video of the main important things about PR. Crates, kits(request and restriction) and building assets. So when 80% of them skip the manual because it "takes to long" they can at least get by and have a head start.

You know, this is actually an excellent idea. However it should occur in /r/iama, as a full and proper AMA with cross posts to /r/games and /r/gaming.

If the team properly organised this and included the most prominent members this would do very well and gain visibility to the entire reddit audience as opposed to just the niche subs and groups.

1 video for FOBs and deployables

i'm sure that there will be lots of noobs tomorrow... but i'm also confident in this community to be helpful and patient teachers that will pick up those noobs and make them PR veterans...

and for the griefers and idiots that will come tomorrow: i think PR will leach them.. whoever is not interessted in teamplay, communication and a realstic gaming expirience will leave.

and if theres a tutorial video to PR i also think bluedrake should do it: "name your squad after his job, for example: cockmagic"

I could try to make a few "how to" videos but, since I have a youtube and record once in a while but, when it comes to piloting and Aircraft that's going to have to be someone else's department.

Let's just hope we dont get too many players who will fuck around too much and destroy the game experience and teamwork. There is room for fun but some people just take it too far sometimes and dont know how to adapt to the community.
