Has no effect, I see "PRBF2.exe" in Process Lasso, I set the priority class to high. However, pnkbstra.exe, and pnkbstrB.exe are not on the list. Also, I have installed the lag fix program, neither have helped. Still disconnects me from any server after 1-15 minutes of gameplay with "connection to server has been lost" error message, then it returns me to the server list.

Download Bitsum ProcessLasso Free. Make sure you download the correct version, Free 32 bit or Free 64 bit, Process Lasso - Automate and optimize process priorities, CPU affinities, power profiles, and more!
-- Start PR, alt tab to desktop, open ProcessLAsso window, right click on BF2PR.exe, and pnkbstra.exe and pnkbstrB.exe and give them default priority status of High, set the BF2PR.exe to gaming mode, and give them high or higher access to RAM. There might also be a net traffic option on newest version, set that to high priority also.
I have a superlow latency already and it doesn't say anything about punkbuster anyway on kicks.

I was having the same issues, was able to fix the problem by bypassing my Router, and since reading this post/link about the network stuff, I think I've been able to get it to work with my router as well. (Dlink EBR 2310):
TeRR0R wrote:I had the "Your connection to the server has been lost" problem in almost every round!
Sometimes after few minutes sometimes only after 20-30 minutes. Pretty random.
I have a very fast and reliable cable router connection. Not playing over wireless.

I always thought it had something to do with punkbuster.

After trying all common PB fixes I even reinstalled BF2 and PR.
Then I found out that I even get the above message on vanilla BF2 servers where Punkbuster is NOT enabled!

This knowledge lead me to all sorts of Windows network tuning.

I tested every single change and reverted it, when it didn't help.

But then I tested THIS:

Since that change I played serval hours BF2 and PR without any connection lost!

Read this, if you want to know, what you are changing here.
Read article "Disable Windows Scaling heuristics" and "TCP Auto-Tuning".

I had this problem last night and a few months before. Both times were solved by changing the ports in my router, a Linksys E4200.

Image

The ports I've opened are in the picture, note the first few are for Games for Windows Live.

The only issue I have now is that I get a good amount of distortion when using Mumble now. It is still very possible to understand people, however its pretty annoying. Let me know if this works for any of yall or if you need more information about my computer

zack112, thanks for the illustration.

You might be able to better Mumble quality by clicking the topright QoS tab, and turning off QoS. Click Save Settings, give it a try.,

Also, within PRMumble->Settings, there a a Quality optin, low, medium(default), high, you might try jumping up to high.

Opening those ports, and furthermore putting my computer in the DMZ did not help.

To answer shooterkid, Comcast.

I want to also point out that different servers disconnect me after different times.
TG will drop me after ~30 seconds.
Hardcore takes 15-20 minutes
CIA takes 30mins-1hr
HOG takes about 30 mins
NEW, maybe 20-40 mins.

If it were an issue with ports or software (things within my control) the presentation of the issue would be considerably more consistent.

I would bet it's an issue with the mod. Please correct it and stop assuming "fixes" that other people post are the appropriate resolution.

Can we get a confirmation anywhere that someone who has a hard wired connection has never had this issue recently? If that is the case, I'd rather run to the store and buy a 100ft ethernet cable so I can play.
