Re: How to fly the Osprey?
It uses the controls of the Planes, not helicopters.
If you press throttle up the Osprey will turn the blades forward and fly like a plane.
If you press throttle down it will start to hover up like a helicopter.
To go decrease altitude you just set throttle to zero, Osprey comes down pretty fast.
Also when its on the ground if you push your mouse/joystick forward it will roll froward on the ground, if you pull back it rolls backwards.
You can take off by pressing down throttle to gain some altitude and then press forward and Osprey will fly off.
Or you can take off from good even ground like a plane, by just pressing forward.
To get on the ground just set throttle to zero and it will slow down nicely, just takes some time to get used to it. You can slow down a little faster on the last few meters by pulling the nose up.
It's pretty much the easiest thing to fly imo, its just a little silly in size so it takes a little while to get used to.
Start a local server and test it out.

Re: How to fly the Osprey?
If you know how to fly the Harrier (not the vBF2 one the PR one) then you know how to fly the Osprey.
The Osprey is much more forgiving than the Harrier though so you can easily go from hover to forward movement.
Slow down (zero throttle) and then when your almost stopped you begin to reverse to hover.
It is pretty much an instant transitions where the harrier takes a looooooong time to switch.
Edit: Now that I think about it the Osprey fly a lot like the vBF2 Harrier unless if it was tweaked again.

Re: How to fly the Osprey?
Practice it in a Local server...
Instead of JOIN INTERNET
Click Create local.... Pick Saarmeena... then practice!
1.The Osprey is pretty fast in "Plane Mode"
2.Do not land it like a plane.... unless it's a airfield
But I realize the Osprey does land quick.... I practice in Local Server since internet one doesn't work for me lul
Practice makes Perfect!

make sure you bleed speed off well in advance of the LZ, or you'll overshoot and either collide with something or spend precious seconds in danger

Re: How to fly the Osprey?
Once I realized the Osprey had the same mechanics as the F-35 in vBF2 it was pretty easy.
