And Sudan license manufactures the MG3.

Well Eddie I think you missed the point here. Nobody is talking of getting rid of MG3 (you cant ditch the model even if you wanted it purged out of MEC). The point of the discussion is the fact that both the AR and the MG kit are using the MG3.

Is it possible to have a large and stormy version map of Black Gold with Coop? That was one of my favorite maps and it would be nice to have it with Coop.

As long as you're resorting to the rather passive-aggressive and condescending "well" preface to your sentence, CroCop, I'll respond in kind. I see the point very well, because I see it every release. The point is that someone wants "more cool guns" for the sake of variety.

The British Army used the L7 GPMG in the rifle section in light/bipod role and the rifle company in sustained-fire/tripod role for years. Like the L7, the MG3 is a General Purpose Machine-gun. It can be used for both medium and light role. And it is doing so in game. What the fuck is wrong with that? Oh, right, it's not exciting enough for some people.

As to things you seem to have missed:
[R-DEV]Chuc wrote:We don't have anything on the drawing board for another MEC AR, when we haven't even finished a number of other weapons that are still going through the pipeline.
Myself wrote:Why should they replace something that someone already put a load of work into (for free)? All for a fictional faction leftover from a terrible game on a mediocre engine?
This engine only has so much life left in it and the developers only have so much life to spend on it.

And since people are admittedly making suggestions outside of the right section for it, I suggest that you be satisfied with what you have. I didn't say "happy." But to come around asking "why can't we have this, instead?" two days after a release all while disregarding the rules of the forum belonging to the people that worked on that release (again, for free) not only seems ungrateful, but disrespectful (of course ungrateful is arguably implicitly or inherently disrespectful, but you get it). Because I'm sure it's positively motivating people to keep working on things like this.

Oi, I was just clarifying what was the suggestion about as the exact same sentence (the one which you quoted yourself on) gave me the impression that you took that as a suggestion to get rid of the MG3 completely.

And as for my "tone", initially I had a emoticon there at the end of my statement but had them removed as I sounded like a goofball after reading the sentence and imagining my expression at the same time. If only there were a better way than spamming emots at the end of every line...to make matters worse, I am not even that much interested in this discussion considering its been discussed in multiple threads already

Sorry if it's another whine against poor 1.0 optimization, but I thought you should know that on almost all maps (maybe simply all maps), sometimes I get huge drop of fps only by looking at empty locations. And those low-fps-areas seem to be set, I feel it pretty much has nothing to see with the number of vehicles/players located in the area I'm looking at (even tho it actually doesn't help when I get lots of vehicles/players in these -already low-fps-areas).
Those drops stick even when I look outside of the map, from the edge of the map.

As binoc uses to make the fps drop a lot more on low-fps-areas (it sort of contrasts it), I could feel it very well this way. I just see my fps getting very low for absolutely no reason.

why did you even post it here, you have plenty of appropriate places to do it.

We already have tons of people complaining about the fps drop, so I was wondering if the devs would actually see my message if I added it in the big threads talking about fps drop (and I guess I'd not be allowed to create another new thread about this subject).

we review all the relevant threads, if you don't get a personalised response don't take it personally...if we responded to everyone then there'd be no time to fix anything (or eat, sleep and generally live either)

Kab take the time do take screenshots and maps so if you suspect a certain area or static is an FPS killer then there would be a lot higher chance to find it.

Is there a reason why you're not able to switch to BUIS while sprinting or aiming down the sights?

They were removed from the negev for realism purposes (there are no scoped negevs for non-special forces). Don't know why they removed the scopes on the tavor though.
But if we are at the topic already is there anything planned for the idf faction?

Is there a chance of giving the US forces back up iron sights using a different ACOG?

Devs did you ever consider a different ACOG for the US army/marines so the back up iron sights could be used?

No, because they don't use that model anymore.

I don't get how you can aim with the ACOG sight using the tritium casing? There's no sight there.
