[SOLVED] Bluescreen Crashes

Post by Satheus »

Hello,
I wanted to start to learn to fly a little bit without messing up others fun by crashing helicopters everywhere. So I saw you could start your own LAN server with bots. So I tried and after the map loaded and start initializing the rest it crashes the entire computer, and then it auto restarts.
I have tried compability mode for Win 7 and tried use less bots. And lowering settings to lowest possible.
This have now happened without fail. I can, though, play on other servers mostly fine. I get random crashes on them too but not always.

With all settings lowest(in windowmode) and sound set to software, also all settings on server settings on lowest I instead get an Error message while loading Geometries(52%)

Did you have Ultra High sound settings active before the BSOD ? Turn it down to high to fix that.

To fix the CTD on geometries loading, try to delete the shader cache. That one worked for me after I bluescreened.

I tried first with just removing shader cache and then I got into the game. Lowest settings and all. Then I tried the graphical settings I used before, leaving audio as Software/Low, but kept it in window mode and still no crash.

Will try start setting the audio higher and higher now and see when it starts BSOD:ing.

I used audio setting as Creative X-Fi/High. Not Hardware/High nor Software/High.

Okay it's the audio setting messing with stuff. Between Software, Hardware and Creative X-Fi (Provider Option) I can have Creative X-Fi in multiplayer but can't host my own lan server to play on or I'll BSOD. Even on Creative X-Fi/Low setting. Interesting problem but got easily solved by changing to Hardware or Software provider instead.

So thank you Dark_Slayer for the help. Appreciate it! :-D
