Yeah seen it a lot. What sucks, is most of it is so stupid and childish, some guy makes a surrender joke like he is the first to do it and thinks he is hilarious.

Makes me wish there was a way to wipe the chat when you see people saying this stuff. Sure, its funny in its moments when its appropriate. But just every map with FF on it... just no. Please shut up and get off my screen :3

I'm not even French, but there was a guy I was playing with that was simply being obnoxious with his jokes about the French last night. I occasionally make jokes at their expense, but this kid was just annoying as hell. So I walked up behind him during some down time and put a bullet in his head while we were waiting for orders to move out from our FOB. -- Then revived him on the condition that he stopped making such bad jokes.

It worked.

And regarding the French, ya'll are some tough mo'fos, IF you know anything about military history. If you don't, you probably find some of those jokes entertaining, but it just means you're probably ignorant, and that is bliss.

For the record, the UK/US may not have been successful in their/our assault on D-Day were it not for the French resistance who risked and gave all in the effort.

Also for the record, the US would not even exist as a free country without the help of the French. It would be wise for the US guys slinging these jokes to know that.

They have deployed to Afghanistan with the majority of NATO, they've lost their brothers and sisters in combat as well. The people that make the jokes have no idea what the real situation is.

Totally agree, I think its just going back to WWII stereotypes. -- It will change over time, remember its only been 6 days since the mod came out. The jokes are still "fresh", but over the next few weeks it will die down.

On a random note, I freaking love Amsterdam. Ended up there by accident on a trip to Ireland (missed a flight, ended up flying to Europe) - ended up in Amsterdam the day of the Netherlands vs. Uruguay World Cup Semifinals. Got to watch it on the massive Museumplein TV.

Guys, I don't take them seriously, as I said I don't really mind the jokes themselves, it's just the repetitiveness of them. It's been months now, whenever the FF was mentioned in any news post.
At least be original.

I'm french and i don't fucking care of French Jokes. Actually, i often wear those jokes like a cloak, laughing about myself, my accent, and my culture (baguettes etc.) when i play PR. it makes rounds just Hilarious.

First thing I'll do while playing as a Frenchmen- go as commander and type in the following at the round start "I, as the Commanding Officer of the French Armed Forces, have ordered the soldiers under my command to lay down their arms. Anyone who continues fighting are to be considered militia."

You can't be further from the truth. I travelled a lot too, and trust me there is no hate towards the French. Some people tend not to take the French seriously, but that's not hate. Some of the most interesting and inspiring people I met in my life were French.
If you want to learn the real hate, you need to be born German, or American, or Russian. Sadly there does exist lots of hateful prejudice towards the three. But French.... you are lucky to be one.

He speaks the truth, although i don't know how you will get hate for being born American as most people on PR are American.
