PR Tournament?
With 1.0 now in full swing and quite a bit if time has passed since the last great epic strugle I think enough time has passed for the wounds to heal, armies to replenish and the ammo dumps to be top offed. Maybe its time we start talking about the reintroduction of the PRT.
I know I would love to see its reintroduction

Re: PRT
The Project Reality Tournament was a series of organized campaigns between two factions, NATO and CATA. They each had regimented command structures comprised of community members worldwide and featured highly organized matches. There were 100+ players in each faction. Each side had separate platoons with units specializing in CAS, infantry, armor etc.saamohod wrote:Ok, what's PRT?
Could someone clarify why it was cancelled? Was it due to CATA's streak? IIRC Gaz was involved.

Re: PRT
Think all the bitching, whingeing, flaming and e drama got a bit too much, ended up being very one sided with blufor getting bashed.
People spent time organising it and getting lots of **** in the forums, normal interwebz kiddie kind of stuff.

Re: PR Tournament?
I remember the PRT tournaments though I never participated in it. I wouldn't mind giving it a try if it is announce again but, I still think we need to wait a little longer for the new kids on the block to get use to the play style of PR before we do that.

Re: PRT
I think I was in C7 on CATA as an NCO and quickly got promoted to SL since the original SL didnt had enough time. It was an awesome tournament.HunterMed wrote:Like you said in the other thread... it's what the people make of it.
I have almost only good memories of PRT (C5,C6,C7) and would welcome PRT coming back.
After that, they got all drama like. So its not weird that you have fond memories
I was in C8 at the start but dropped out quickly due to time constraints and drama's forcing people out. I wanted to play with those people so I dropped out because of that as well. I believe C9 wasnt that much better.

I would enjoy the PRT returning with the caveat that there should be four teams, rather than two.

PRT was fun. But it is gone :/
I think its one of the redtags who has to give the go ahead.
If not there is the tournament from F|H or WAW that I think is about to take off.

Re: PR Tournament?
I think it was because there was not enough admins, and one of the admins took the liberty of communicating too much with the soon to-be commanders. And thought that was reason in itself to close it. Although, I dont know the entire situation. There might be more to it. Be very careful what you say after this, if you want a tournament, dont be flooding drama in here.Due to many complex and far reaching issues both within and outside of the Admin Team, it has been decided that the PRT will be placed on indefinite hold and Campaign 10 cancelled.
Thank you all for your interest and continued support of the PRT.

You will never have a tournament with that

I think we can solve many of our past issues. Including having admins in game with the new 100 server

Re: PR Tournament?
I don't know, kinda miss the old "world" map where you could choose which map to attack on. With the locked teams the whole campaign gave you a sense of allegiance to either Opfor or Blufor. IMO that was part of the PRT, since I didn't get that feeling through out TART f.ex.Cossack112 wrote:And actually not locking teams to BLUFOR and OPFOR only.![]()
They should just redo the structurer of earlier campaigns and not turn it into a team x vs team y on this and this map (if they ever decide to re-open it again). Honestly speaking that seems to be more appropriate for an event rather than a whole campaign. Maybe they could do it so that you swap sides half way through the campaign, or something similar, just so that you get the affiliation for certain factions for a lengthy period.
