Ok guys,

Clan mate Arek, find out something interesting - he searched through programs installed - he just formatted his PC and PR still had low FPS. The thing he found was that Microsoft Visual C++ was installed in few versions. On my own PC I had about 15 different versions of that stuff installed. I just left 2008 and 2012 versions and I gained few fps and game was smoother. I dont know if that changed anything or was just the map.

It might help some of you - I would appreciate if someone report back on this.

You're an idiot. Read the thread before you post ignorant shit. Many including myself have great rigs and experience issues. Hence the frustration. If you experience no issues -share some insight. However, the fact you're on page 15 in a major performance issue thread..im assuming you are as well. Or did you do all this just to troll ?

Piss poor performance for a high end rig...

Post by FORCExRECON »

I have an i7 2600k OCd to 4.2, x2 gtx580s in sli, 8gb ram corsair dominators, 1tb hdd and back before 1.0 came out I was getting FPS thru the roof like 200 fps plus... now I get fps below 20 at certain points on maps... weird places too like just staring at buildings will drop my frames well below 40. I have yet to find a solution that actually works. Is this a problem on their end and will a patch be released to address such issues?

It's a problem on their end, but I'm not getting my hopes up that they'll fix it. At least not soon.

Tell me, sir, have you found a way to unlock BF2's 100fps cap or are you playing games with my brains?

Did anyone try to play with the settings on graphic card. Its an old game, so newer G.cards could have problems if u do not change some settings!

I know that for my card hd6450, i need to change some settings, also for my ex- nvidia GF6600 GT , i had to drop clock under 900 hz, cause some old games do not recognize higher clock speed, or could even have preformance issue, and freezing!

Just my saying and i have Intel QX6850, 4gb, hd6450 1gb. from 2007, win7 64b and still working like as new!

And also some spyware could do some pref. issue!

I recommend u super anti spyware, its free and good, very good.

Typing that value wont grant u those fps.. Thats related to other values.. what WILL grant u as many fps as ur gpu could give is this .. open the console an type game.lockfps 0
To use the built in fps meter type in the console renderer.drawfps 1

Its not that because all of us were able to run .98 with no problem. The devs just need to find where there optimization issue is and fix it (if that is the case).

What I wonder, have the devs also been having performance issues with the latest 1.0?
Because I don't see how they're going to fix a problem they can't recreate...

The only map that totally drags my performance while playing is the map "Dovre". I've always had some minor perfromance issues with some densely object-placed maps especially when the whole team has a firefight in one spot. The multiple sounds sometimes affects my performance. I run a medium - based system p.s.
Head IS modeler and animations.

Can it be a coincidence that every spec posted in all these pages has one thing in common?

You've all got creative sound.

I know bugger all but that's a thing to think about?

You mean the EAX checkbox? I never noticed a difference between having it on or off before, but I can try that again.

No in the support spec you all have Audio creative, I'm scared by creative as they seem to have alot of problems and I'm sure there's a thread somewhere on here talking about it.

Apparently I haven't posted mine here before, so I'll do that.

It doesn't look like I have Creative Labs audio though.

Note that the video card actually used is GeForce GT 525M.

Oh well....

I know very little about computers but I feel for you guys:

In all your specs apart from Kothra your audio is marked as Creative

plus here:

and here

here

I'm presuming that means you guys are using Creative sound cards or integrated?

If possible switch off the creative and run through the onboard to see?

And kothra with that intergrated card I'm amazed you can run PR its even worse than mine on the net..

Before 35, it used to say "Creative Labs Inc." for everyone, because it was getting the name through OpenAL. Sorted that out, it'll say the proper default device now :) . Don't think Creative sound cards are the issue, because I'm running an X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty and I have zero issues.
