New radio squelch noise

Preface: on the whole I really like 1.0 and I am making this post a tad reluctantly, but--

The new radio squelch noise as of 8/10 is a little on the obnoxious side. The old one with the tone was cool, but now it sounds like walkie talkies circa 1991.

If we're going to be accurate, which would be analog and no tone, it would sound like this

i.e. maybe a hint of squelch sound at the start and none at the end. If for some reason you guys want to emulate a digital radio system, there would be no end of transmission noise at all.

Either way, the way the end of transmission squelch sounds now is not accurate as far as I know and it makes chatter a lot noisier.

There's always the option to turn of the "Squad/Officer, Transmit Receive audio", sir.
