loaded question lol.

He is a passionate man who would like every one to play PR by the rules and gets frustrated when they don't. Especially if it involves trolls griefers or asshats.
sounds like I'm defending him already, I'm not calling you any of the above its just that we have come acustom to the cultural differences that Kop highlites with some of his admin comments. Miss understood is the term he uses.

Do you have some thing to give feedback about and would like to have his side of the story? Feel free to PM me or Exetic if we can help we will.

Well he kept chating on local during the briefing time and deliberately continued after some said he should stop. And last time he banned someone who i remembered as a good, civilised player. And after someone ask why he banned that guy he didnt respond.
So i just thought he might me be a new guy whos exploiting his status.

But if he really is one of the big shots of NwA he probably had a reason for that ban.

The ban you mentioned was just and at the time only 4 people in NwA had the rights to ban. I was on the server at the time also. If it was the ban during Kashan desert.

As for not responding we have a agrement that admins shouldnt talk in game about bans to other players as it tends to end in a wall of text of who did what to who and why. Thats best left to the forums, if we are wrong we will say sorry.

During the briefing time we have no rules about using local in mumble this is a team game and as long as the chat is not just mine mine mine spam we allow it.

Once squads are formed at 1.30 and squads are using direct to form a plan it does sound like a good idea to stop local chat. I will ask the members what they think.

Thanks for the feedback.

*NwA* please can you clarify your rule on locked squads?

I am not an advocate of locked squads; I find the more the merrier, but came a bit unstuck on your server on Kokan earlier.

There are 2 transport helicopters. I created the only AIR TRANS squad and we had 2 pilots. I locked the squad, as there was only 4 squads so people could still make more without needing to be misc infantry hanging around in a trans squad.

I was swiftly informed by an admin to unlock my squad as locking under 6 people is frowned upon. The admin was within a 4-man locked APC squad but that's by the by.

I asked him to clarify, as I'd previously seen an admin tell someone that an asset squad can lock as long as it's filling all necessary functions to use the asset.

He said he'd get back to me, but never did.

Thanks.

thx for the report.

sounds like we have to have a talk within the admin team and discuss what can be locked below 6 men and not.

I definitely think INF squads should have a MINIMIUM of 6 players before lock but squads with very limited vehicles like trans helis should be able to be lower then 6 people. but that is just what I am thinking.

Hey NWA admin team, I was wondering how the APC/MECH INF rule is working out for your server? We currently at PRTA suffer from a few problems regarding this asset and I was looking into maybe suggesting a similar rule for our server. Do you make a difference between IFV/APC or do they all count for the mech inf squads?

greetings,
Mineral

any armored vehicle that can carry INF is APC for us.
like warrior,bradley,BMP2,BMP3 and MTLB 30mm we take them as APC because they can carry infantry.

not many people know that apcs can be reserved with mech INF on NwA.

the only vehicle we really class as IFV is scimitar, because it cannot carry any infantry.

@Heskey... Sorry mate that was my bad, abit of miscommunication on my part and I can only apologize, I agree with Exetick that us admins need to talk about it more as we've only just started enforcing it.

@Mineral... I think its actually going okay, I mean sometimes we will have an APC sq and a MECH (or Mechinf) squad made at the same time and we have to inform them of the new rule... But most of the time this is okay, The only problem I have seen at the moment is people creating seperate squads, For example on falluja yesterday someone made a LAV squad and an AAV squad, and then on Basrah someone made a Warrior apc squad and also a scimitar squad So we had to tell the APC's to merge and i informed the scimitar squad to merge with apc also as it was taking up 2 squads for a similar asset (by which i mean the main guns)

@Heskey:

The no locked squads below 6 people rule is enforced in order to ensure that everyone in the server can join a squad, therefore encouraging more teamwork. The number 6 was chosen as it is the minimum number of people that fit in a squad if all squads are equally manned (50 players divided by 9 squads = 5.5ish = round up to 6).

We appreciate in game that this can become confusing and quickly erupt into a debate so I will say the same to you as our admins have been briefed:

All infantry squads may not be locked if they are under 6 people (and yes individual clan and 1337 sniper/recon squads are included in this)

Locking Asset squads under 6 men: this requires both admins and players to be sensible and aware of the situation, if there are surplus assets compared to the number of people then please do not lock your squad (a 2 man locked tank squad on khamisiyah for example is a waste of 2 tanks sitting in main, however, a 3 man locked trans squad on the same map is ok as there are only 3 blackhawks iirc). If there are no spaces left in squads (eg 3 full inf squads and 6 barely full locked asset squads) then of course admins will start asking people to unlock their squads in order to stop the lone wolfing that tends to happen when people are on their own.

If you got bored of reading: basically no locked inf squads below 6 people and go with what the admins say for assets. The admins decision will largely be based on the number of people not in squads and the population and number of squads that have been filled/locked.

I am really annoyed by this guy TheBeanie.... I think he gets off by warning and kicking people for the most trivial things... you say one thing in all-chat and you get a warning on your screen.... then he continues to go like "Try me! Try me! I will ban you so hard!". Even after games where we have some small talk he tries to enforce some "no spamming" rule... this guy is a nutjob!

PR is still a game and a game is to have fun. This guy thinks otherwise.

we try to keep all chat to a minimum and we usually say to everyone to stop spamming all chat if we find it to be used to much. but if it the spam continues warns will be issued and if people still continue after 2-3 warnings you will be kicked.

after games most people just start to talk over each other all the time and if to many people try to talk at the same time it is super annoying. I usually mute myself after a round is ending so I dont have to listen to 20 players talking over each other.

That's not even what happened. There was hardly any spamming...there was a small conversation in all, the chat didn't clutter up or anything, i hardly noticed it in chat because you know....i was playing.....but this guy went all berserk over it.

Then after the game, there wasn't that much chat at all and he was all like "I will ban the next guy making a sound over mumble!" when like 2 or 3 guys were talking about a score of some guy.
we usually say to everyone to stop spamming all chat if we find it to be used to much
There's also a huge difference in spamming and chatter. I don't mind chatter at all, i don't get annoyed by it...in fact, i think it lightens up the situation. I was doing mortars in a game, and i'm not really going into any fights. I'm just staring at a map and moving the tube into position. I would like to see some random chat.

In a situation where someone goes all "99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999" over and over in chat....THAT is spamming and THAT should be dealt with.
