Server Crashes on PR1.0

Not sure if its just PRv1.0 or server related but I seem to be on a lot of crashing servers recently (maybe its me...) and I was wondering if there was some way to record this or feedback. It would be quite good to have a record of which servers crash, which maps it happens on, number of players and any other details just to see if theres a pattern?

Happens on every map as you can see.
I cant remember playing a full round of 1.0 without a crash

NwA is trying to not play 128 layer maps. those maps crash NwA servers more often then 32 and 64 layer maps.

it's not related to 128 layer maps I think... I haven't played those layers at all, yet Terra Server crashes a lot too. Pretty much all the maps crash, regardless of number of players.

Sometimes it takes 10 minutes to crash, sometimes 1 hour

it is for NwA.

we can play most maps without crashes but we crash as soon as we start a 128 layer map server is most likely going to crash.

hum, maybe I should the the opposite and play only 128 maps then

I think I may change this to only reporting when I get a full round in rather than crashes....

Dont get me wrong, i love it but it seems to me to be a bit more 'flakey' in terms of stability now than .98 at the moment.

Im sure DDoS would have different symptoms...much more lagginess and stuttering before the crash? Unless this is some piece of code that can be 'inserted' and just breaks servers? It seems to happen on too many servers tho and would requiire someone with a very big grudge and some good skillz.
I will post when I get a complete game from intro to end. I've had excellent half games tho :)

Yesssss...First full game

Hardcore Gaming server 11am till about 12 GMT. Map Saaremaa. Almost full server.

We're tracking crashes in the SA forums trying to get a read on what's causing this.

My guess is that its something rare that happens in game, perhaps a combination of things like an RPG hitting someone directly in the face while a grenade goes off within sound distance.

In several games I've played there have been issues like this causing server crashes, notably the biggest one was something in Everquest 2 that caused a whole zone to crash when someone did something so its my guess its something similar here.

Might be worth watching the cheat forums to see if the method pops up :)

I think you prob right Toejam. It may be worth people trying to remember if they saw anything 'odd' before a crash. It certainly not just on full servers.
Any load spikes before a crash? any consistents?
What is the SA forum...server Admins? Good luck anyway.

I have experienced a bit of server lag with RPGs being fired, someone even commented that when he fired it made the server rubber band briefly and I was there on several separate occasions of this happening.

This was when we were actually waiting for the server to fill up on fallujah.

Not sure what he was shooting at though however.

Had quite a few games yesterday, played like a dog but the server did not crash.PRTA I think and I had about 3 games in a row with no problem. Yay.
I had to get 2 new patches since my last game and nothing in the change log was obvious re server crashes but its getting better for me. Great stuff.
