I'm assuming that by posting that link you're trying to say that "stamina should not be reduced by jumping because you are sometimes required to jump over minor obstacles that are not supposed to be in a map".

Mh-hm, indeed. And when such errors in the map are reported and at some point successfully removed, what is the remaining problem after that?

Its not about jumping all the time and be super fast but its so annoying when you lose all your sprint while trying to get over that 15cm sidewalk, only so that you die on the open street because you got no sprint left.

what about not being able to jump at all while under fire, 'cause in real life nobody jumps while fired upon anyway. i saw people jumping and it did affect aim. the jump is too high anyway with the gear carried and stuff. another issue is unrealistically quick 180 degrees changes of direction while under fire, much faster than one could do in reality . cheers

Sorry but whoever made this post obviously has good intentions but I cant see how it wont be a bunny hopping nightmare(IE. vanilla bf2).

A Step-over function would be nice, but seems that is not really possible with bf2, bf3 movement is nice also, but too fast (but really smooth).

The Stamina thing makes you more aware I realize. Yeah it's a let-down since in real-life, a soldier would be climbing out of that thing without jumping, but bear with me for explanation.

This has been raised alot of times. It's there to prevent bunny-hoppers and this feature is effective at preventing bunny hoppers.

It makes them at a disadvantage since it also affects their deviation, but a low Stamina gets you into the habit of finding cover and avoid being seen to scan for enemies using your scope or iron sight.

Custom Collision would be awesome and have a custom jump that's activated on steps and big places, which doesn't affect deviation much, well it wouldn't be possible to remove it, but I read somewhere archived that they tried the custom collision and the players end up going through the wall.

While that is true, and while I would like to see something done along the lines of the OP, bunny hopping in itself includes evasion and removing the sprint deters this unrealistic evasion...although I still do it when all hope is lost, and on many occasions it has worked.
