I really enjoyed his Combat Tourism vid and watching his squad learning during the round. I can't help but feel that one veteran PR player in their squad could have helped them answer a few things like "Does the ammo bag refill grenades?" or "Does the AT4 have backblast" or "Are those rock piles IEDs?".

It was a fun adventure to watch. Well played too especially the early street battle and capture of the T building. Well done.

Exactly, just having one PR vet that follows devblogs/news/changelogs would have made this perfect

A lot of things were answered. The rest of the questions probably didn't make it through the heat of the battle ;)

I'd love to see a video from the opfor point of view. Especially some insurgency action.

It's interesting to see him play, he plays a lot more carefully and smarter then most people.

Just watched his "Close to Madness" video. It is safe to say that he has gotten the hang of the infantry combat in PR. His work at the Abandoned House and Air Control Tower objectives was excellent (helps that his opponents weren't the best lol). I cringed so hard when he threw his second grenade in some Marine's face at the tower. :)

Still think his crew would benefit from having a PR veteran in their squad at times. Someone asked about magazines being auto reloaded when picking up a kit, someone else asked about the pilot kit and parachutes, and he asked in his "Kiowa Wet Dream" video how to pick up a thrown rope. Regardless, its fun watching them learn the game.

And his thoughts on the Insurgency mode in PR 1.0 expressed in the video description of "Kiowa Wet Dream" echo my own at least initially.

This is what I commented in one of his videos. He started playing PR and I noticed how he changed his way to play PR as any new player to this game.
[R-DEV]OkitaMakoto:"Cheers, you're the man, Okita"
[R-DEV]Rhino:"I in fact got kicked from a server for tking."
Hitperson:"well done, treasure it forever."
[R-DEV]Adriaan:"Damned classy Roma, if I may say so."
[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."
(yes, it was about me)
[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

I have yet to have a single truly enjoyable round of the Insurgency game mode in PR 1.0. The best you can really hope for is to have something silly and entertaining occur - the actual gameplay of having one side with almost zero optics (save for snipers and DMs) versus another side with all optics and plenty of vehicle support is just garbage.
Except that insurgents have infinite reinforcements and spawnpoints easier to place.

Blufor fanboys everywhere, but really I think someone missed the point of INS. You make what you want of it, if you want a slow round stand around the cache and if you want action just walk towards the gunfire.]

Bad shooters will always whine about being on INS team.

Well you should at least work with a squad. I just want a Squad that will go out to Ambush instead of sit around in the known cache area ><. When I learn the areas, then I'll be SL in INS and set up our own ambushes then.

Watching that video few times...10:00 seems so familiar to me...i remeber lots of bodys...after 10:00 i started to revive my team but like it always happens some guy was having convulsion of his forefinger so he killed me...after getting revived there was APC and infantry attack on that poor house.
Dslyecxi can you confirm APC attack after or i mixed my flashbacks?

People see INS game mode and are like "No ticket loss for deaths, IDGAF LETS GO DIE 100x", then they complain about how it's boring and blufor has to huge an advantage. If you manage to get a squad that actually enjoys working together and you guys play as if it were AAS you will probably have a surprisingly successful round, if INS squads play organized like Blufor they tend to win very easily (they have the advantage of freedom of movement, thus giving any smart insurgent the chance to take the better ground).
