Well, "sir", it's proves to be extremely hard to find Vietnamese players/friends/family that have decent recording equipment and are willing to record a shitload of voices. At least it's better than what we had, because we were using Mandarin for the Vietnamese at first (which is like Germans using the English language).

I know, sorry sir, my mistake, but then why bother with it at all? In my humble opinion, Vietnam is far from being finished, an Alpha at best, and to be quite frank, I don't understand how on earth it found itself into the main game.

In my opinion, the current Chinese voices sounds like he is eating food while speaking.

The old British voices sounded like some drunk English guy you would find in a bar. At times, it sounds like he is about to laugh, he must of been drinking scotch while recording.

The IDF voices were done well except their recording equipment must of been utter shit.

The biggest complain I also have are the Russian voices, it sounds like the actor was impersonating Russians while hammered on vodka. It's like the actor decided to do the recordings when he was near passed out from his drink. Did DICE hire all their voice actors from a AA meeting? The Ura Cheer needs to be replaced asap. It's almost comical to hear teammates shouting a cheer running down a hill to be mowed down.

You think PR Vietnam is an alpha at best? Are you f*cking serious? Go play some Vietnam in 1.0 man and tell me exactly what is so bad about it compared to the other eras/factions. Bug-wise of course!

Sorry for the offtopic, but posts like this demand explanation rather than just shouting something into the wild.

I'm sorry, sir, it's not that I'm ungrateful or trying to be disrespectful towards your hard work or the community, but we're talking about voices here and to be honest, them new Vietnam voices (not all) sound unfinished (if they where recorded with a headset microphone) or (while eating) which lowers the overall feeling of the mini-mod, that's why I keep referring to the Vietnam mini-mod of still being in an Alpha-phase, truly my thoughts aren't misplaced, sir?

So Vietnam is in Alpha, just because the voices aren't perfect? That's quite a weird statement really.

Anyways. as I explained before, it's very hard to find Vietnamese speaking people willing to record voices for us. We used Mandarin in v0.98 for the Vietnamese, which is just wrong. And so we added more Vietnamese voices. Some were from EOD, which aren't the best quality voices, but it's still better than Mandarin. And others were samples that were sent to us by someone who recorded them for us (and then vanished I suppose).

I wish the voices were better, sure, but Vietnam is definitely not in an Alpha state.

Thanks, sir, maybe referring to the Vietnam mini-mod as an Alpha is a bit over my head, but there's room for improvement.

If Finland is ever included, which is unlikely as I don't know what spot it'd fill, I could record.

But right now I don't have any studio mics in my house, just headset mics. The voice is there, and I speak fluent Finnish, but not the equipment.
