Help me set my graphics settings PLEASE.

So I just got an alienware X51 I5, gtx550..I set all my graphics to high in the pr launcher and launch the game...Its very laggy especially when in a firefight and when in buildings...I went through the settings and lowered some to medium including texture filtering and texture...Still lagging and rubberbanding! What should I do? I know this thing should be able to run this game on all high!

also my resolution was 1920 X 1080 I just changed it to 1366x768 and it seemed to get a lot better

The game itself isn't optimized well.

But it depends on monitor screen too.
I have my monitor set: 1440x900, and my silly reso. on my game is at 1280x1080

How much different does it really look between the different resolutions? Like does going down the 1280 X make it look considerably worse?

I will do this when I'm off work and come home tonight...Last night I overclocked my gtx555 as high as I could go stably (core clock 860mhz) without raising voltage and highest resolution with all settings high was still dropping to like 10fps


I know these basics off the top of my head its an Alienware X51 PC GTX 555, i5 2320, 6gb DDR3 Ram, 1TB HDD, Windows 7

also I should mention that I have the x51 hooked up via hdmi to my 1080p Vizio TV

Problem solved I didn't realize I wasn't even using my graphics card hahaha *facepalm* I'm now running 95+ fps

lol yea I'm new to really messin around with computers (I've had a stock dell xp 400 for like the last 7 year haha) But I thought and read that the x51 and other computers with hdmi in the motherboard, would automatically switch over to the gpu when it detects a game starting but in this case I had to manually assign PRBF2.exe
