PR 1.0 disconnects after like 15 minutes

So Oralis, like I said: I updated the DHCP Client Lease Time from 0 to 9999. Now I can play without disconnecting (well, I disonnected twice, but 1 of those was a server crash and the second one could have been random in the 4 to 5 hours I've played).

I'm still getting ''there's a problem with your connection'' messages every now and then (pretty frequent) but I think that's my internet (the ISP said there are problems they are working on to fix). The difference is that now I won't lag out/disconnect on the third or so ''there's a problem with your connection'' message, but I can just keep getting them infinitely and not disconnect. That probably has to do with the higher lease time?

So it's kind of fixed, apart of the issues my ISP has?

So how does one adjust the lease time? I would like to try this. Thanks.

Do you know how to get into your router? If not then:

1. Hit the windows key
2. Type ''cmd'' without the quotation marks
3. type ''ipconfig'' without the quotation marks
4. Find the ''Default Gateway'' IP for the CORRECT Ethernet adapter (the one you're using to connect to internet with, so NOT Hamachi or anything else).

5. Type that Default Gateway IP in to your browser address bar
6. You'll get into your router
7. Click around there until you find ''DHCP Server Settings'' or something like that (on my rouer it's on the home screen, the tab is called ''Setup''). Then somewhere there should be a box for ''Client Lease Time'' or anything that's named approximately the same.

Adjust that to the higest value (try 9999).

Yeah, thought it helped, but it didn't help: I just disconnected as well after 15 minutes. Fuck.

Honestly, the devs are working their booty's off.
This is very complicated issue.

But yeah, last night I played about 3 rounds non stop. Just a little disconnection, server crash and that is all!

Hopefully if they fix the issuez, it will fix the issue for ever!

samthegreat4, sounds like ytou are as fixed as you can get within your own power, it's now outof your hands besides calling in to your ISP customer service anc continueing to complain until they do something about it.

I want everyone reading this to know we're dealing with various problems on one thread, some of them very specific to the individual setup, some of them with commonalities such as everyone with a certain type of Comcast ISP traffic monitoring causing disconnects across a wide variety of online fast paced games, and some hardware issues like the European Fritz Box modem/routers, etc.

What might work for one person probably won't won't for you, but the symptoms are so similar it's not easy from the end user's perspective to know which problem he is facing, so tech support volunteers are letting people post in this thread for a variety of problems.

Patterson, the DHCP problem seems to arise on particular modem/router combos, Comcast in the US and BT Inifinity in UK both use these Arris manufactured routers with this problem in the firmware. Affects quite a few online games.

Turns out all those DHCP requests were coming from Hamachi. Turning that off didn't help at all though :/

Hmm.... I restored my router to factory settings. I played a good 2 and 1/4 rounds.

But I CTD'ed...

I have a possible fix for Xfinity/Comcast users with the Arris Routers/Modems.

Restore your router to factory settings.


Hopefully it will fix your issues.

I got to play a good 2 hours (Literally, and exactly) of gaming. I think I might have been kicked from TG for a supporting member, but at least I played 2 rounds!

Hey LITO, do you have any clue HOW to make it permanent for my PC to be IPV4 adress 10.0.0.2?

It is constantly changing to others for some reason when ever I start my PC back up! :\

I was recieving TONS of Disconnects this pas 2 hours. Can't even stay for 5 min. My IPV4 on PC was 10.0.0.7

Did u set ur pc to static/reserved ip??

What is ur router name and serial num
And Your Internet provider would be nice.

I didn't do anything actually, strangely enough. I played on PRTA and on NEW. All the time, with only the server crashing for everybody. But maybe the problem will be back today.

I think the main problem is my ISP fucking up.

I played fine on CIA this morning. But, it eventually happened. So sick of this. I guess us Comcast customers are SOL?

I tried playing and I was just getting disconnected after 30 seconds to 1 minute. I'm really frustrated with this, frankly I quit until the problem is resolved.
