No room in squads
since 1.0 was released i think all of us encountered that problem at least once evere 5 rounds: no room in squads! mostly because there are 2 man locked recon/sniper squads (wich is actually not wrong because you need only few people behind enemy lines) or people just locking because they want to play with their clanmates only...
i see 2 solutions for that: either DEV's manage to make it possible to have 10 squads (i think 10 is enough) but im not sure if the engine allows that...
or combining certain squads, for example: a CAS/TRANS squad should be common because it improves gameplay alot, if CAS gets shot down and no one uses the trans choppers (wich happens sometimes) they can just do trans instead of waiting in front of their hangar...

When I've played some rounds, I've seen instances of where teams will have locked infantry squads with just the minimum of four people for certain kits. If three squads do this, you may find the team in a situation where you've got people outside of a squad because certain SL's are being silly.
Most servers do a pretty good job as far as rules on locking squads from what I've seen so far, but I don't really think infantry squads should be locked at all.

The problem arrives when you need more attack helos, and more trans helos, but can only have more or less of either in one squad.
Personally, its fine. Just learn to do any role, and avoid playing on jerkoff clan servers where they lock the squad at 4 players or something.
Back to the learn to do any role part, yeah, do that. I don't think there is anything we can do to "force" open slots, but to my experience there are always some. Since 1.0 came out if I joined late I could join a squad, and if I joined early I could start any squad and lead it.

Try playing on PRTA or Hardcore, I get good games there every time.

NwA have a minimum of 6 players in infantry squads before it can be locked. although this is not a official rule atm we try to enforce it anyway.
but like the tank on basrah you can lock it on 3 or 4 players or what ever you like except for 1.
or trans on kokan. but be prepaired to open incase squad space is needed.

Very short sighted, we have a big influx of players if we don't show them a good time they'll leave and we'll be down to a few 64 servers again.
The clan squads should try to show one player a good time so he joins your clan?
Surprisingly the no locked squads works really well on BIG D.

Nothing surprising at all since it is very specific server. No language barrier is a first big difference. And not every clan is recruiting, its a short sighted statement they should show something.
btw the most short sighted thing there is 100p itself. Did not improve anything but made gameplay faster and arcadish. inb4 FUG U 100P IS AWSOM WE LUV IT

100p is not the problem for locked squads, the players are.
I have played matches on NwA and PRTA with even two people in a locked squad, and sometimes when some better people were on no squad was locked.

Honestly, some kind of coding to prevent locking squads, and for example being able to only use assets if you select some specific option while making a squad (Most likely impossible to implement) would be good.
We need to stop running away from the new players, elitism is bad.

I don't understand how 100p is the problem. There were not enough squads before anyway when people locked them, and mind you, if you have 50 players on one team, and you have nine squads of 8 people you have 72 slots, and thus 22 slots that can be locked.
So what is the problem, unless more than 3 squads lock or something?

It was too rare case happening when people locked 1-2 man squads. Now we have a bunch of asset squads people will not join because you know, its an ASSET squad, and some inf squads that may be locked at 4-5-6 and still not enough room.
