Hi guys, the switch between fire modes on some of the marksman rifles was removed, is this a new feature of 1.0 ?

if it is a feature it's not on the change log.

Yeah, it's a known bug. No solution yet unfortunately, will be fixed as one is found.

It's a workaround for a magazine linking issue . As far as I understand it, there is a bug which treats your magazine differently depending on whether your weapon is deployed or not. Setting all marksmen rifles and machine guns to one only firing mode (only single shot or only automatic) seems to be solving this issue.

Yes, that is exactly it. It seems that when we added/kept multiple firemodes, the maglinking wouldn't work anymore. No idea why. And when only using one firemode, it works as it should.

If anyone has a solution to this, please post it in the forums and we'd be more than happy to put it in the mod as soon as possible

Theres still mag linking issues regardless of fire mode. So what is it fixing exactly?

That's another issue you're talking about. I guess one or two weapons still have an issue, the rest works as intended. Or do you mean all weapons have maglinking issues....?

I just know that last night on kashan one of the guys in my squad had mag linking problems on the MG3. If thats one of the weapons that you mentioned then I guess all is well.

To be fair you would rarely need to use another fire-mode on a DMR, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Just experienced mag link issues with Hamas M4A1 on Asad Khal Skirmish. Seems as if the fire mode change didn't help. Experiencing mag link issues are more prevalent now than they were before, IMO.

The STAR and M4 basically need full auto to be effective IMO.

what about the Negev lmg? It has two fire modes and as far as i know it didn't have mag linking issues.
