Squad 1 on Fallujah "H" Hardcore mumble server

Post by Archosaurus »

Hello. First off, if anyone from there reads this: Image

I love you guys. Not once in my PR playtime has it happen that when I call out orders via all SL chat, everyone listens, but the guys at H did. I commend you for that.
If you have not noticed, I was the deep voiced Finnish teenager with a horrible accent who was constantly flooding the comms, with useful information I hope.
I also thank Squad 6 for talking in squad chat, as that always means that I'm gonna have a good day. Believe it or not, on most servers, people don't actually co-ordinate inter-squad movements. Hell, I've been insulted a few times for talking on all SL chat, so I was a bit cautious at first. I have heard rumors about H's server, but I like to believe they are all false, especially when the admin Naddder was a good sport, and actually followed orders. You're doing a good job admins, keep it up.

To the rest of my squad, you did a good job but I had to be a bit harsh at times, managing 7 people for the first time, who you have never met, is a bit taxing, but I think my vast tactical and strategic knowledge led us to victory.

For the enemy team, sorry guys, but we kinda whooped your ***!
Better coordination I suppose, but you did manage to get us a few times.
I'm looking at you, Gary driver, who killed our whole squad on the 3 story.

So yeah, good game and all, if anyone recognizes this post, be sure to mention it!

Oh and new guys, specifically the Humvee gunner in my squad, thanks for listening. Always listen to your SL if you think he knows what he's doing, even if he's doing a mistake. Only bring it up if its serious, otherwise, follow orders, we probably know better than you, and we're just there to have a good time.
Sometimes that requires some swearing and shouting, though. Trust me, squad leading is easy, managing individual people is not. Good job though, just make sure to never ever get in vehicles unless its an emergency or you get ordered to.

Hey, someone replied!

Who were you? I saw you a few times on the .50 I think, I can remember the name but not what you did.

Yeah I was on the Humvee gunning and stuff, in the hospital building I were medic.
The one that mostly followed you.

Yeah, I think I can remember something like that.
I didn't see my squad much though, most the time I was either checking corners, talking to other squad leaders, talking to drivers and gunners, directing the squad leaders and looking at the map.

I did my best at taking the "Vietnam" approach to being a combat NCO, being right in there and walking around.

I guess. I think I know a thing or two about small unit tactics and managing a platoon.
My method is basically take it as it comes. I had no time to manage what kits you guys were using, neither did I have time to manage where you were standing and what you were shooting at, but it still worked out with little casualties. I'm currently trying to learn how to manage the whole team AND my squad to its fullest, maybe even throw in armored vehicles.

The thought of a mounted NCO on a BMP or Bradley or something sounds cool as hell.

Good luck with the learning, hope we will meet again in the battlefield when you have finished learning.

Its there to basically say "If you have no mic and will not listen to orders, get out."

I'll still look for squads named MUMBLE INF or something like that, because I like to think the SL knows what he's doing. Even if everyone has mumble now, that's not gonna stop people from not using it. ;-)

MUMBLE INF is basically a PR oldfag tradition before the days of auto-assigned and integrated Mumble.

Hey, you saw this too!
Do you guys see these or do people tell you about it?

Anyway, I was just looking around if anyone had recorded the round, but nah. :|

That intersection was great. Especially when Squad 6 and 3 actually listened and let me move their humvees by the inch.

Kinda guessed.

I never recognize anyone from here though, ingame names always seem to be different.
