I would like to know this as well.

Somehow i can't get it to work. I have tried to add the shortcut on the desktop and then add that to Steam, didn't work, Neither did a manually created shortcut in the PR folder pointed to PRLauncher.exe, nor pointing straight to PRLauncher.exe without shortcuts.

Once added to Steam, it does nothing when clicked.

What happens if you try to start PRLauncher.exe from where it is located? So without using a shortcut or anything and without using Steam do start it.

Then it starts up normal. I do have UAC enabled on my pc though, so it asks if it's ok for the program to run (Y/N), and then starts PRLauncher.

I also changed the PRLauncher's download / log paths to my (non-sytem) Steam disk.

I've got the same. Steam launches PR and then quits it.

If that works, it's fine, right? Or you want to use the Steam overlay or something?

I bought BF2 complete collection off steam and installed PR 1.0 right after and it automatically put all the files in the right directories during install and everything has worked perfect.

Well, BF2 does not work with Steam overlay. PR is jsut a mod for BF2, so no luck.

What does work:
1. download overwolf Overwolf adds Facebook, Skype, Video recording, Messenger and much more to your favorite games!
2. download the slim steam chat overwolf plugin
Overwolf adds Facebook, Skype, Video recording, Messenger and much more to your favorite games!

RE: adding PR as a non-Steam game, this worked perfectly for me:
  • Games > Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library
  • allow list to populate
  • Check Project Reality BF2
  • Add Selected Programs

It's so strange, i do this exact same thing. Importing it is no problem, but once Project Reality is in the Steam Games list it simply won't start if i click on it.

If you disable the steam overlay, PRLauncher will open fine. Not sure why it crashes immediately when using the overlay, maybe down the road when I get a bit of spare time I'll look into it.

usually if you mod a game in steam you have to add the mod in the properties but I'm not sure if this will work but its what you do if you mod ARMA. Right click on the game in steam libraries go to properties then go to set launch options then copy your folder into the launch options. then add this in "mod=@(foldername)" quotations are included.

Example:"mod=@JSRS_Soundmod"
