No idea; I think displaying the timer in-game would be optimal.

It's 60seconds.

IT's horrible when you have the enemy team pooping on you and capping flags quickly. And you can't respawn soon enough.

At least you don't have those people constantly giving up while they get wounded.

All the timer does is wait until the respawn timer gets to below ~7 seconds, before it allows you to give up.

would prefer to see the timer at all times. hard telling an SL+sqd who are waiting in chopper how long untill you can respawn

This. I don't mind the way it is, it prevents people from wasting tickets because they just want to respawn, but I can never tell how much longer I'm going to be on the ground unless I hit a stopwatch every time I get shot lol

i can understand if you get stuck or some ****, but I see people suiciding to waste tickets. :(

I don't think you will experience any mass suicides with a change from min. 75 sec to min. 60 sec after pressing the suicide button.

It didn't annoy me that i couldn't give up though and now it is going to be a pain in the *** again to be a medic wasting epipen's in a guy that went down 5 sec earlier and hit the give up button strait away because he thinks it will make him re-spawn faster.

Nah, itll be the same as before. Suicide=Tactical advantage.

I dont know but maybe you playing the game wrong if you suicide to get a tactical advantage. When does this this happen in a regular game? I dont remember that i suicided intentionally, except i was bugged somewhere. Not in 1.0, not in 098 or 085...regardless of the timer.

In the world of PR, where tickets seldomly matter, its often beneficial to just give up and rape the squad which is still reviving, with full force and take their position.

I was medic on qwai.
My god I had the option to revive 28 players. But NNOOOOO
We lost that round from the silly give up timer.

But this has nothing to do with the ability to give up instantly, cause the actual spawntime is the same in both systems.
As Spec said, it's only until we implemented a proper way to display it. In 1.0.35.0 it was just not really clear to players what's going on, especially newcomers.

The "dont give up" system was a great addition and you are really notice that is it gone at the moment. Hopefully you can fix the problems with the timer and reintruduce it.
