Kokan Chinook no purple smoke seen

was told by a sniper the other day that he had a huge ploom of purple smoke setup for an LZ and I could not see it. had to go by keypad and I confirmed when I picked him up that the smoke was still there where I had landed, I just couldn't see it.

The smoke will only start to render for you when you come into view distance of it, which means it's propagation will only begin when you fly close enough.

This means, if they threw it a while ago, and you come in to land fast, you won't really see the smoke.

It's a BF2 limitation
