This has been mentioned before, but..
With the seeming absolute ease of modding the basic files pertaining to damage, accuracy, respawn times, and those simple things - could you guys possibly put out a small release with those changes? Everyone talks about how "their server" will have these updates, as it is only a server-side requirement.
From what I understand, these things are all located in the same file, and it is less than an hour's worth of work to achieve.
There is nothing like this as of yet for release, and it'd make the transition a lot easier for all of your fans.

haha. anyway just a question for those lucky ******** who already got bf2, is the mod system organised the same way as in BF:V and 1942? like when you start the game you go to a menu and choose the mod you want to play? because i thought that worked really well. you could have a modded version and an unmodded version. and i might want to play the regular bf2 instead of pr sometimes.

The mod menu is known as Custom Game, and it is found via clicking Community, then the Custom Game tab.Wolfmaster wrote:haha. anyway just a question for those lucky ******** who already got bf2, is the mod system organised the same way as in BF:V and 1942? like when you start the game you go to a menu and choose the mod you want to play? because i thought that worked really well. you could have a modded version and an unmodded version. and i might want to play the regular bf2 instead of pr sometimes.
Essentially, Wolf, you can still play regular BF2 and any other mod if that mod has a custom GUI. Just have a shortcut for vanilla BF2 and a shortcut for the mod. Problem solved

We're targeting an internal release in August, and we'll announce the selection of the beta testers in the coming months.Figisaacnewton wrote:Another question (may have been answered somewhere):
When is rough estimate of 1st release?
When do you start picking the beta testers (very anxious)?
I'm anxious, myself.
