Hello all . Looks like a great game and have heard many good things . I have never played battlefield series . My computer is 64 bit windows 8 platform . I have the Steam BF2 game downloaded and seems to work fine . Here is the hitch . I downloaded prbf2_1.0.29.0_full_unpassworded version . It updated itself to version 1.0.36 .
The problem is I am not able to connect to a public server when I select co-operative or deployment . I get the message "Joining public servers is restricted at this time . Confirm that there are no restrictions currently on your profile , such as modified files " .

Well I uninstalled and reinstalled the file and all is ok , so far , i think . I can now connect to the net .
