I don't see a problem here?
Communication is the key, and it's a working system.

1. Mumble is actually a great way to find wounded people, because it allows medic and wounded to talk to each other regardless of squad status (what story of a building are you in? are there still hostiles around?). If there's too many people talking at once, tell them. Just tell them to hold on for a second and you will try to get everyone up asap.

2. That's why you can ask for a medic in the wounded screen. You will show up on his map again. If the dot permanently stayed on the map, it would block quite some part of the map view, especially on large maps.

3. So what exactly do you expect? If the current means of getting medical support are not enough, well, you are screwed. It's a part of your teams performance, and the ticket loss may be justified.
I mean, if you had a HAT kit or something like that and it would be important for your team to get you up, there's always SL radio. Find out who the medic near you is, and your SL can ask his SL to send him over.

I can not stress this enough, if your team fails at communication, well, it deserves to lose these tickets.

A communication CAN be the key. But often the dialog is like:

Wounded: MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC
Medic: Hey dont give up, i will revive you
Wounded: MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC
Medic: STFU enemys still around,i cant hear shit, simply wait i try to make it
Wounded: MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC
*TATATATATa*
Medic down

People will say "just let him die" ...yeah but that doesnt stop people from spamming. Sometimes really a problem, especially when you have to hear enemy movements or your own Squadcommunication.

Permanent Icon is no solution, like hurricane mentioned, but Mumble is sometimes more annoying than helpful because most people dont care whats happening. They see that my whole squad got wiped out and i try to revvie my mates and often scream all day long. Of course its helpful if people know how to use it proberly, but its not a "team" thing. A few players can mess up a situation like that and especially the lonewolfers who never laid a hand on the medic dont care what you got else to do.

The system what we have now works, but could be improved, but i dont have a idea how...Wounded Tags would be nice but is it not possible, so i think we have to stick with it. Actually it would be really nice if "dead-ead" people and wounded people would look different on the ground so you dont have to waste you epis on dead bodys.

"Medic Medic Medic Medic Medic. . .. . . "

4 or 5 of those going at once is the most moronic sounding thing lately.

Don't people realize it actually makes it harder to zero in on where you are down.

Try instead "Medic I'm down by the stairs" or "Medic northwest of you" and then be silent for a second.

Use call for medic in wounded screen to put the icon up on the map.

In a multi floored building be sure to call out which floor you died on, mumble only accounts for X,Y not Z coordinates.

When I hear some 13 year old rapidly chanting medic like an imbecile I'm inclined to step right over him and keep going.

------
And if you are going black and white, for god's sake DIE TACTICALLY . . stagger back behind cover or into a building before you croak.

The wort is when you have someone who tries to push the guy you're healing out of the way so that they can get healed. I remember i came this close to shooting a teamate in the face for this.

If a wounded guy right-clicks on give up he'll appear on the map for the medic, so it's easy to find them like that ;)

People just need to be more patient while waiting to get revived or healed. You know, it can be very stressful being a medic, trying to help everyone yelling at you, while bullets fly around your ears and you're trying to survive in order to do so.

I play medic all the time and yes, this last version it's harder to find who's wounded or down, but it's not impossible. Communication is key to success. When you didn't physically see them going down, check your squad list (Caps Lock) for people who are wounded (grey names) and ask them one by one. Go down the list, ask them if they can be revived, locate them (have them press the 'call for medic' button/call on mumble/grids ect), take your time and help them.

You're no good dead, so keep your head cool. Do what makes the most sense first, and revive the impatient and often 'stupid' soldiers when it's their turn.. That's how I look at it and how I survive most of the time.

Sharps, I get your point but as somebody who plays medic somewhat regularly, I really do NOT want the wounded icons to stay as long as people are down. Especially on large maps they obscure quite a lot of the minimap, especially with multiple casualties in the area.

You say the system changed, but it hardly did. Yes, the healing time has been increased. That's about it though. It's a change made to penalize being hit more than before, and while it can be pretty stressful if several people need to be treated, I think it's actually a step into the right direction.

Yes, the system is not perfect currently, but then again I don't see any suggestions that would really improve it, except for the wounded indicator on the compass which sounds feasible, altough I doubt this is possible in PR.
The main problem was/is/will be the playerbase, hence I don't see the need to change anything regarding the medic system, and I'd rather try to educate players (altough the chance of succeeding here seems to be slim).

Actually, I could see the wounded icon on the compass partially annoying. If you have multiple friendlies down in one area, there could be so many markers down there that it would prove to be distracting. I actually haven't heard anyone continuously calling for a medic unless I asked them to continue to sound out so I could find my way to their body if there was a lot of brush/ bodies.
