CTD after 5-10min no fixes found

I have just recently bought my new laptop seeing as my old one died. I only installed BF2 for PR. I installed everything in order like the installation guide said. After 5-10 minutes of online/co-op gameplay my game crashes and the only message I get is Cleaning BF2 Resources. I've scanned the forums and tried every possible solution I've found and nothing seems to work.

I have found that if I use the PRSPY thing next to donate and connect I don't crash, Well at least the one time I tried. I played a good 20min on vietnam and 30 on another map. I'm hoping it's just a bug they'll fix in next patch

I have the same problem... Sometime I crash after 5 mins, sometimes after 1 hour. I always have the "Cleaning BF2 Resources" message.

the "Cleaning BF2 Resources" message is simply the exit message for a "graceful" shutdown of PR. That means it's not a forced shutdown or not a full system level crash.

We're working on solutions, but this problem will arise from many different problems and will require different solutions, some which work for only a specific problem, some which could work for a multitude of problems.

We are working on it.

this use to happen on my laptop....i found out it was just overheating....thats why i just do desktops now for gaming.

OT: Racfuhk... Have you played vBF2 recently??

Because I was having same exact issue before... I think I fixed it.

It had to do with the RendDX9.dll stuff.

I have it on the lowest res and settings on windowed and it does it less frequently but alas the pesky issue still arises.

Your support profile information says it's running fullscreen.

Does it not show any errors when it crashes?

That was when i was testing dif res' and quality settings to see if it worked. I'm only getting the 'Cleaning BF2 Resources' message. No error message whatsoever.

I am thinking this could possibly be the rendx9.dll issue.

I'm having the same problem too! I always ctd randomly during games and it gives me no errors, only "clearing bf2 cache" Whats the RendDX9.dll issue, and could that be the problem?

Battlefield 2 Update 1.50 Alt + Tab Fix

Read the instructions how to apply it correctly.

On a second thought check to see if BF2 runs at high performance mode in AMD Vision CC. If its not then you're probably running on int graphics ( APU ). Thats bad, so select dedicated graphics which should be available in your laptop.

Edit:

Oops my bad. Just checked specs for your laptop and you dont have dedicated GPU. Also bad.
